- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 881 reviewsWe came to the hotel to experience all that it had to offer, as we had booked our wedding here in the coming months. Now that we’ve seen it first hand, we couldn’t be more thrilled to celebrate our love here. For those interested in wedding-specific stuff, go to the bottom of the review 👇🏼 The room: Very spacious, huge bed, great for couples. The room also includes a sofa with a desk and a few chairs to do some work if needed. The bathroom is also pretty big and well equipped. Although it doesn’t have a bidet, there is a small convenient shower head next to the toilet. All that separates the bathtub from the actual room is a semitransparent glass. Although not great for privacy, pretty cool for couples. The food: The buffets have an abundance of food, for all tastes and preferences. It’s hard to complain here, and although not the best meals I’ve had in my whole life, there’s always something great to have. And there’s just so much food. You can get even more food near the pool and the beach. When we were there, the hotel was almost at full capacity, and still it was easy to find a table every time. Restaurants: There are 3 restaurants to go to besides the main buffet. They require reservations, and you can book a limited number depending on the length of the stay. When the hotel is near full capacity, they open a a fourth, which was the case when we were there. Bahia e Brasa (Rodizio, beef): the best. Waiters come and offer you different cuts of meat. An amazing experience all in all. Mediterranean: incredible food. Plates are pretty abundant. Japanese: food’s very good. They prepare the plates live which makes for a good show. Poseidon: although the worst of the four, this one is close to the beach so it has some charm. Food is still very good, don’t get me wrong. The beach: With out a doubt, the best part of the hotel. The water is warm but not hot, just the right temperature to refresh you from the scorching weather.Guest review byFacundoArgentina
- From £26.60 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 2,408 reviewsRoom and appliances are a bit outdated, but everything was super organized and clean. Bed and linen were super comfortable. Shower pressure was great. The view from the room was perfect to see Band Camarote during Carnival. It may have a nicer view without the Carnival's Camarote structure. Hotel restaurant is a bit expensive, but the food is good. Room service was quite fast and could adapt food allergies. Gym was well equipped - I managed to work out there every morning. It is a great place to stay before the official Carnival week. However, I wouldn't recommend it for the Carnival itself since it get super noisy in the streets and car access is closed.Guest review byRaissaBrazil
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 53 reviewsI adored my stay here. The hosts were incredibly friendly on the floor below. The room exceeded my expectations. It was very comfortable and the kitchen was quite adequate. The view from the balcony was nice. 2 minute walk to the ocean. 3 minute walk to a supermarket and 24 hour laundromat. Excellent stay.Guest review byMatthewAustralia

Amazing architecture, well described and educational museums...
Amazing architecture, well described and educational museums, very nice polite people, pretty decent food and drink. You need about 4 days overall, to get to know the city, and possibly go back to the places you liked best (if that's your thing when you travel - it is for me). However, the religious thing does get a bit tiring, as does the noise level. Best part of town by a long stretch was Santo Antonio depois do Carmo, which is beyond the Pelourinho. The Casa das histórias de Salvador was very good, albeit a bit short on live story telling.Guest review byCristinaBelgium - 10.0

Morro de São Paulo is a paradise.
Morro de São Paulo is a paradise. I highly recommend people visit Salvador just to get the catamaran to Morro de São Paulo. The island is amazing and I recommend the scooner/escuna from Passeios Morro, to visit some amazing highlights.Guest review byGeorgeUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Location and the beach are amazing.
Location and the beach are amazing. The hotel is old and the main areas are fine but the rooms need renovation. Gardens and main pool area are great even though the pool needs to be cleaned more often. Value for money could be better considering rooms need to be renovated.Guest review byPauloPortugal - 10.0

Itacaré has a relaxed and bohemian vibe with charming streets lined by vibrant colour houses. Is relatively untouched by massive tourism and evolved by ecological reserves, rainforests, and beautiful landscapes. Is the perfect spot for those who love sports like surfing, climbing, kayaking, paddle boarding and trekking.Guest review bySarahSpain - 10.0
Praia do Forte is great for holidays.
Praia do Forte is great for holidays. It has something for everyone. Plenty of restaurants, beach shopping and different types of beaches: natural swimming pools are the atraction but you can find some calm waters as well some deep ones. You won't run out of things to do there.Guest review byAlinParjoleaDenmark - 6.0

Ilhéus has a rich historical background, but the town feels neglected, with many historical buildings falling into disrepair. It’s not particularly touristic—more functional than charming. That said, there are some good bars and restaurants, and the centrally located airport is convenient. The beaches, while decent, don’t compare to the stunning ones in the surrounding region. It’s worth a short stop for its historical significance, but the lack of restoration is disappointing.Guest review bychachatwistUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Trancoso is an absolute must if you are looking to explore Brazil and Bahia. It has stunning beaches and views, but also has a very lively atmosphere with plenty of amazing restaurants and shops, easily walkable around Quadrado. The food is amazing, with plenty of amazing local cuisine options. Would highly recommend visiting Praia dos Nativos, Praia do Espelho e Praia da Tartaruga.Guest review byCarolinaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A lively, bustling area with plenty to go for eating and shopping. It is less urban than Salvador but still very densely populated and active with everything you need close by. I felt safe, especially during the day. I didn't go out at night as much, so I can't comment on that. But it was beautiful and not too far from beaches or other attractions by car or ride share.Guest review bySarahUnited States - 4.0
