BrazilEverything was just awesome. The staff is incredibly nice, Spha (the chef) is an amazing cook! My wife is a celiac, she can`t eat gluten, and they manage to prepare her even gluten-free bread, cake and pasta!! The game/boat drives we had were the best ones we`ve had, by far. Kabo, our guide, managed to find every animal we wanted to see (even leopard and hyenas) and somehow was able to answer every question we threw at them. The tents are amazing: you would think that given that it`s tents you`d find a lot of bugs, but we didn`t see a single bug inside our tent during our 3-days in the hotel. The balcony view from our room was just overlooking the river, and we manage to see buffalos, impalas and hippos just passing by. We were even woken up one day by monkeys knocking on the roof and the walls! As a bonus, the internet connection works well, even from the rooms and the borderless pool overlooking the river is also great. We had 3 amazing days at Jackalberry!!

Czech RepublicSuch an oasis after the long journey on the bus from Kasane. The garden is so relaxing, wifi working even at the pool, I had a wonderful local dish (pounded beef), the staff is very nice and the free shuttle to the airport is amazing. You feel well taken care of.
The rooms are big, beds comfortable, breakfast is plenty. It's a perfect place to stay before your safari (if you don't require luxury).

For solo travellers going to Maun on bus, there is only 1 direct connection overnight. Kasane is a convenient gateway for Chobe safaris, but in terms of accommodation, the variety is quite limited and not as refined as what you'll find in nearby destinations. Muchenje has beautiful shaded level campsites with wonderful exclusive use spotless bathroom facilities, the Staff are professional and communication around your booking is almost instantaneous unlike the Botswana norm. The position is perfect to explore the southern reaches of the Chobe National Park as an alternative to Ihaha, or as a stop between Kasane and Savuti or before Ngoma Gate. We were disappointed, we were under the impression that we could drive around in the area and on the premises, but you have to book for game drives. The water hole is on the side for the tented camp visitors, the people camping does not really have access. It was easy to get around and we were able to get everything we needed. The boat trip on the Chobe River was unforgettable with the river crossing of the elephants and the sun going down! We also visit the Chobe Game Reserve and were able to see many lions, Kudu, impalas and a leopard!!! We did the early morning game drive and visitors must remember to dress warmly! It is lovely on the open vehicles, but it is very cold!!!! We would love to visit again, but most of the roads are in a terrible condition.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

For tourists going into the delta I recommend at least a day in Maun to check out the local sights and meet some of the locals.
