- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 127 reviewsSuch a nice place at an affordable price, comfortable beds, restaurant where you can watch birds and in the evening a warthog comes by, good breakfast and own pier at the river where the sunset boat cruise start, very convenient for travelers not on an organized tour. It's also very close to the center/shopping mall, where you can buy whatever you need and also change money (in front of the mall is a bank). For solo travellers going to Maun on bus, there is only 1 direct connection overnight. For day connection you have to change in Natta but it's a safe connection (long but with local fun).Guest review byGabiZ.Czech Republic
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 273 reviewsThe entire staff was incredibly kind. From the moment of check-in (super fast and friendly), the staff always made sure to provide service to the best of their abilities. The cleanliness and comfort of the rooms were excellent. The two pools are beautiful, clean, and appropriately sized for the facility. The buffet breakfast is definitely above average compared to many places in the same range. If you're considering of visiting Vic Falls, this is the place to stay.Guest review byRiccardoItaly
- From £119.11 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.5Good - What previous guests thought, 291 reviewsSuch an oasis after the long journey on the bus from Kasane. The garden is so relaxing, wifi working even at the pool, I had a wonderful local dish (pounded beef), the staff is very nice and the free shuttle to the airport is amazing. You feel well taken care of. The rooms are big, beds comfortable, breakfast is plenty. It's a perfect place to stay before your safari (if you don't require luxury).Guest review byGabiZ.Czech Republic

Kasane is a convenient gateway for Chobe safaris, but in terms of accommodation, the variety is quite limited and not as refined as what you'll find in nearby destinations. Personally, I would prefer staying in Livingstone and doing a day trip to Kasane, as it offers a wider range of quality stays and overall a more well-rounded experience.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

We did not stay for long, but for stocking up the twon a good amount of shops and chain stores you may also know from South Africa. Unfortunately, the croc farms seems to have closed down, the local game park was closed for rehabilitation, and the museum was closed for the weekend.Guest review byBuk - 10.0

Muchenje has beautiful shaded level campsites with wonderful exclusive use spotless bathroom facilities, the Staff are professional and communication around your booking is almost instantaneous unlike the Botswana norm. The position is perfect to explore the southern reaches of the Chobe National Park as an alternative to Ihaha, or as a stop between Kasane and Savuti or before Ngoma Gate. There is a new fuel station close by.Guest review byGarySouth Africa - 4.0

Comfortable cabins with nice location and great potential if you want to be out of Maun but need to make sure if food is available and to pay on arrival to avoid problems with payment as staff not present on site earlyGuest review byJessicaSouth Africa - 6.0

We were disappointed, we were under the impression that we could drive around in the area and on the premises, but you have to book for game drives. The water hole is on the side for the tented camp visitors, the people camping does not really have access. The camping is a good stop over for one night, but a longer stay will is not recommended.Guest review byHengeleneSouth Africa - 10.0

It was easy to get around and we were able to get everything we needed. The boat trip on the Chobe River was unforgettable with the river crossing of the elephants and the sun going down! We also visit the Chobe Game Reserve and were able to see many lions, Kudu, impalas and a leopard!!! We did the early morning game drive and visitors must remember to dress warmly! It is lovely on the open vehicles, but it is very cold!!!! We would love to visit again, but most of the roads are in a terrible condition.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

For tourists going into the delta I recommend at least a day in Maun to check out the local sights and meet some of the locals. Botswana and Maun in particular see tourists come in and go straight out to the delta, so no added benefit to the residents just a constant flow of people leaving nothing of benefit to the local community Stop over in a local hotel, there are plenty to suit every ones finances, interact with the local community there is lots to do and seeGuest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Cruising the river was awesome, we went twice and the second time we saw the elephant swimming over to the Island too feed on the grass, it was an amazing sight that we will never forget. We took an organized tour and had lunch at an amazing resortGuest review byCheryl RoseAustralia - 2.0

When you see distance to town center for hotels in Maun, don't be deceived like I was. Town center is a ratty 4 way stop, nothing you want to be too close to. There are a few places in Maun that may be OK but you have to do your research and they are spread out.Guest review bybschranzUnited States
