Calgary had everything I needed and nearly everything I wanted. The city has all the services and products a person could want. Costco, Canadian Tire, Honda, Toyota, Ford, Chevy and the dealer I needed, Mazda. I don't really understand flashing green left turn signals, but got through them ok. Fuel was reasonably priced. Having been in remote parts of Alaska and the Yukon for a few months, I wasn't used to the "big city " experience. The city isn't that big, however it does behave like one, in that the speed of life is quicker than I was used to seeing. There is quite a bit of entertainment, movies and theater/theatre; I didn't have time to attend any of these events. Next Trip.Guest review byCharmaine MankeyUnited States - 10.0

Banff is an interesting town to visit in the summer, with a quaint, slightly western, ski-town vibe. We were there for two days at the end of August, along with many other people! Picked our historic hotel, Mount Royal, based on location. Lots of quirky souvenir shops line the totally walkable streets as well as great restaurants. Quite a few nice places to just sit, relax, and grab a craft beer, and there's even a rooftop bar! Try the pizza at Three Bears Brewery on Bear St--it's to die for!! Coffee houses and tea shops are in the area too. Loved the free transportation to the scenic Gondola up Sulphur Mtn--a must do! You'll need a ticket as it gets quite crowded. Once at the top, take the deck walk all the way up (376 steps but they're spread out, plus have areas for scenic photos and/or to catch your breath). You'll be rewarded with great views of the Cascade mountain range with the town of Banff below. We had a champagne toast to our anniversary at the Skydeck Bistro for lunch (be sure to reserve as it is quite busy). Once back in town you can bus it to visit the stately, castle-like Banff Springs Fairmont Hotel located just outside of town, for a drink on the scenic patio of the Rundle Bar. Many steak/bison restaurants (Chuck's, Grizzly) are within walking distance in town, but we opted for a short taxi ride to have a mountain view sunset dinner at the Juniper Hotel Bistro's patio. Our last morning before heading out we grabbed some homemade granola and scones, with freshly brewed coffee, at the Wild Flour Bakery, open at 7am. We left Banff mid-morning and took the scenic route to Lake Louise for even more beautiful scenery and hiking. Highly recommend visiting Banff/Lake Louise area in the summer. It is a breathtakingly beautiful area!Guest review byJamieUnited States - 8.0

The street food and regular food in the restaurants were good. The Train and Bus services were very good too. Great city but the sanitation has to be improved. I witnessed an unfortunate accident but within 10min, the Police, Ambulance, fire services, Rescue truck all arrived the scene to help the accident victim. The response time was excellent and commendable to the authorities in Edmonton.Guest review bySAMUELNigeria - 10.0

Jasper is a great place to visit with lots of activities in around the town. Whilst it was badly affected by the wildfire in 2024 and you obviously still see the effects of this around the area, the town is very much open as are most tourist attractions and we should all support them.Guest review byCraigUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I paid nearly $800 per night expecting a quiet, nature-focused stay, as advertised on the hotel’s website. Instead, I was first given a noisy room, and then moved to another that smelled strongly of bleach and had a broken window. Despite my allergy, no alternative room was offered. The bleach fumes caused severe headaches that required painkillers, and by the second day, ants had entered the room. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing and far from worth the price.Guest review byMaryamUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Our family went to Drumheller to see the Royal Tyrell Palaeontology Museum. Once there, we discovered Drumheller's civic pride, multicultural, hard working families and playful acceptance of their claim to fame; there are even raptors on the rooftops! Downtown is charming and has an excellent water park and wading pool where families gather.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

I loved walking the blocks around the Villa, with many new shops and services, and a revitalized vintage feel. There were places to shop and eat, though we were there on a Monday morning when most were closed. There are several beautiful old churches to admire, and a striking new city hall.Guest review byMarjorie FixCanada
