The staff was very friendly and inviting. The pool was clean and rooms as well. Amazing contanental breakfast with a variety of options for everyone. The housekeeper we had on floor 3 was very friendly and also helped us with extra towels and pillows when we asked and asked if there was anything else she could help us with. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. We also liked that we could also use the BBQ that is on site as well. Which helped with keeping our cost down while on vacation with the family. We also like that there was alot of beachs to go to within less then a hour away and one just down the road for the hotel in Port elgin which had a small park, volleyball courts, flushable washrooms, showers and live entertainment on the Sunday We stayed. The beach was also sandy and not rocky like goderich.

Amazing and exceptional service from staff. Check in was amazing, quick and easy. Saskia from the front desk was very cheerful, patient, funny, pleasant and helpful for even the silliest questions! Location was perfect. Amenities were pleasant and accommodating. View was exceptional! Also received a welcome gift and anniversary card and heart towel presentation on our bed!     The Saga resort is amazing - not only because of its short location to the beach, but also due to it being close to so many restaurants and stores. The rooms are super clean and has everything one needs for their stay. I'm from England, and I've just returned for a second stay here. Was really happy to see the same friendly staff from 3 years ago! Jennifer is amazing and goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable and stress free. If there's anything she can do to help, she will! Jarod keeps everything running smoothly and is great at keeping the grounds/walkways safe during winter... like Jennifer, he's also super helpful and welcoming. Complimentary fresh coffee/tea and breakfast bars in the morning. It's the best hotel in Wasaga! Will definitely be returning!!

    We arrived a couple of hours before check-in, so we thoughr on asking how to park within the resort because we wanted to get the underground parking. We got surprised that the receptionist went through to checking us in. We didn't expect the room to be a newly renovated one. Very spacious. Complete kitchen stuff. 2 bathrooms and 2 beds. Greatest decision to get a room within the resort.

    We brought our bikes and cycled the Georgian Trail, an unpaved but easy ride to Thornbury and Meaford. Be sure to have ice cream in Thornbury on the main street, little yellow front. Just off First Street in Collingwood, is an amazing trail and boardwalk, we just found it by accident. But shouldn't be missed. Visited the Blue Mountain village. Very pleasant, great for families. After the village visit we spent the afternoon at Wasaga Beach, beach #5 was a lovely spot.

    A tiny piece of paradise just a few hours from home! A must do activity is the Shaka Wasaga 7pm sunset cruise! Grab a bite at Beach 1 Smokehouse and for a more formal dinner, go to The Iron Skillet.....excellent cocktails and food inluding huge portions!

    Pretty, small, classic Ontario city with lots to see and do. Great cafes, restaurants, independent shops and cultural landmarks (don't miss Manticore Books, Mariposa Market, Gordon Lightfoot trail and the Leacock House). New waterfront developments aren't great but nice parks and a great walking and cycling trail runs right through the middle of town. Rent a bike and explore!

    It's a very beautiful place.

    It's a very beautiful place. One has to be physically fit to thoroughly enjoy the scenic trails , however it's not a foodies place. There are no decent restaurants. Everything food related or shops were just ok. The boat tours or the natural scenery were exquisite. Cottaging is better as atleast you can cook your own food and have a good waterfront to your self. The Indian restaurant was dirty and the food was pathetic...atleast that was our experience.

    I grew up and lived there.

    I grew up and lived there. I left the last time 25 years ago and it has deteriorated noticeably since then. Not a great place to visit and I wouldn't want to live there now. Use the by-pass if you can to travel around. If you are hungry, eat in Rockford.

    We started visiting Midland when our next door neighbours moved to Penetang after retirement. They took us around and we discovered an enjoyable corner of Ontario. Love the marina. Great sunsets over the lake. Nice options for dinner. We specially loved Ariston, the Greek Restaurant in Balm Beach. Real Greek flavours and a lovely environment to enjoy good company and great food.

    Friendly people, perfect summer climate.

    Friendly people, perfect summer climate. Unfortunately provincial highway 21 is the main street. Traffic going north and south congests' s everything. Restricted parking downtown. Traveler's using the road need to obey the speed limit's. No sign of the police enforcing speed limits. Port Elgin has a lot of good dining spots, there is no shortage.

    We love beautiful quaint Wiarton and the gorgeous Bruce Peninsula and miss being up here on bi-yearly visits to family and friends. We always go to Bluewater Park and tour around the places we know and love. Very easy to get around but if coming up highway 6N or even the 7N, get your gas in Hepworth as there is no longer a gas station in Wiarton to fill up before leaving- how weird is that? We ordered pizza and it came vey fast and was hot and tasty. We will be back of course as we have so much family history and wonderful memories in Wiarton and the whole area
