The location was beautiful, we loved watching the sunset over the ocean from the hot tub. The cabin was well-appointed and we were able to cook some simple meals in, with a quick trip to the market down the road. It was very clean and well provided in terms of towels, toiletries, kitchen supplies, etc... Overall, a great stay. We had a lovely holiday!
The breakfast was so good. The pool and hot tub was very nice. The staff we're very kind and helpfull.
It was a wonderful place to stay and would highly recommend it.
the room was really cosy, it was clean, and the view was really nice! we were also grateful for the host for giving us what we asked for even when it was quite late.
Had a beautiful little cabin. King size bed was awesome. Location was on water which was a bonus. Staff was excellent. Very kind, friendly and accommodating.
We enjoyed the covered deck and chairs to sit on. We could walk to a Resturant across the street. Very friendly .
There was a BBQ which we cooked toast on.
Petty touristy town on the shores of a large lake.
Petty touristy town on the shores of a large lake. Available public parking is horrible as there are too many cars for the available parking. The Bell museum is definitely a must see and worth a couple of hours visit. The boat cruise on the Ameba is a very peaceful afternoon activity. The town can be a base for day trips elsewhere if you are lucky enough to have nice lodging.
Terrific breakfast and dinner at the Freight Shed Terrace. Many shops and restaurants are close by and walkable.

We love Cheticamp.
We love Cheticamp. The Dory for entertainment or the Gabriel for an outdoor beverage. Lots to see . Beautiful location watching the fishing boats! The Auberge Suites are great. Stayed there twice. And would stay again!

We LOVED our accommodations, the quiet and the beach! Most restaurant food was very good. Loved whale watching and the gondola.
Would have like a continental breakfast as there were no restaurants within walking distance. Also, restaurants close too early and many ran out of food so decided to close! 150 people at the pizza place (because no place else was open with availability) on a Sunday wasn’t fun.

I enjoyed the trails in Ingonish including Middle Head trail with magnificent views and Freshwater Lake Trail which passed through the woods around the lake, by the beach and pickleball courts. I spotted a bald eagle in a tree on this walk and my day was complete!

Good spot for sunsets. Very small town off the Cabot Trail.
Good spot for sunsets. Very small town off the Cabot Trail. Therefore very few restaurants. They also close early in the shoulder season so good to keep in mind. The main restaurant was Belles and it had a good selection on the menu. The lobster roll was okay and the seafood chowder good.

A bit pricey for what you get but options in the area for what we needed were limited. Restaurant onsite with good menu and great service was very convenient for us, especially after some long days travelling and hiking. Loved parking right at our door as it allowed for easy unloading and loading. Our room was towards the back away from the main road which was quieter than other places we stayed. Disappointed that I didn’t check the details of the listing before I booked to see if it had a microwave and fridge, which it did not. TV was miniature but we didn’t use anyway. Internet was spotty when both of us were trying to use it. Shower was wonky and whole room could have been upgraded with a few things while still keeping the charm. bed was not to my liking —- a bit hard—-ended up not sleeping much. All in all it was ok for one night and the restaurant was a huge bonus but I would see if there are other options next time.

This was a unique communal camping experience but it is not, as they call themselves, a 4-star resort. It is definitely not for everyone and I would highly recommend more clarity on the Booking.com site. My review should be on there.

The host/ receptionist was lovely and very accommodating.
Unfortunately it rained the entire time we were there so didn’t get to make use of the beach but we were very comfortable with the accommodation. Not a fancy place but very clean and the beds and pillows were super comfy.
Ate at the Harvest to Table dining experience and it was wonderful.
We were there on a Tuesday nite and a lot of restaurants close early ( by 8 pm)

Every venue was close.
Every venue was close. “Freight Shed” restaurant was excellent and served the best seafood chowder we have ever had, and we have had seafood chowder all over the east coast! “The High Wheeler deli cafe bakery” was also a favorite for excellent coffee, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches. They were friendly, fast and reasonably priced.

This charming village is a perfect location to explore west side of the Cabot Trail, among many the Skyline trail. There are several good restaurants (a bit $$) and a lovely Cafe (Marguerite). Like all over in Nova Scotia, people are welcoming and friendly.
