I loved the cottage, I loved the views and all the wildlife, wished there was a general store and gaz station nearer by.
Conso a town about 40 mins away is very quaint and had some old homes, Guysboro was also about 40 minutes away had the basic stores needed for Food and Gaz

Went to Atlantic Shores Retreat for a weekend getaway and it was an amazing choice! This property exceeded our expectations. The view was spectacular! Online pics don't show the pool/ping pong table so that was a pleasant surprise. Very clean, comfortable accommodations. Highly recommend a stay here for anyone looking to just unwind, relax and enjoy the ocean air!! 5 stars isn't enough!!

Where to start!
Where to start! We arrived later in the evening but were welcomed in and even the cook stayed to be sure we had something to eat. We felt like family. The room was a bit outdated but clean and comfortable. The view at breakfast was amazing. Would have like to stay a bit longer.

Loved the canoeing, food at the restaurant was delicious.
Loved the canoeing, food at the restaurant was delicious. The staff was lovely. The gift shop was beautiful. Very quiet. Fire pits available, bikes available for use is a nice option. Loved the sauna. The option of ordering in was very convenient. The boat ride was very relaxing. Thanks for making our 18th anniversary very special :)

Great location with views directly over a lake.
Great location with views directly over a lake. Great cuisine. it's a bit off the beaten track so ideal that they have own restaurant with excellent food. They've just built an extension to the restaurant for more space and a veranda with views over the lake. Idyllic spot. Friendly hosts.

The views were the only ideal part.
The views were the only ideal part. Outside space isn’t the best . Pool is green and unusable. Small outdoor green space if your in the main lodge . It’s by an extremely busy road . Even loud late into evening and very close to the road . Something to consider with kids and pets. Unsure what’s happening with the restaurant they advertise but it’s not open.

Fishing from dock was great and availability of watercraft, bikes and fishing gear was especially helpful (fish did not like our bait though). Meals were always satisfying and service attendents very helpful. Long drive although scenery enjoyable. Rapids a camera's delight! Our second stay. Will come again. Thanks again. (Missed getting to the pool table hut)

This place is in a fantastic spot but it is a little past it’s heyday. The staff are good and will do anything to improve your stay. Food is good and reasonably priced. The hiking, kayaks and bikes are all available at the location. Overall I would recommend the place, but try to get a room and food package to make it better value for money.
