- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 111 reviewsThe cabin was both rustic and beautiful and the setting was amazing. I just wish that we had more time to take a walk through the woods. The people operating the facility were amazing. A trolley was provided to transport your baggage to the cabin. A wonderful breakfast was delivered to the cabin in an animal proof box. I highly recommend the small restaurant that is run by the facility. We had pizza's that rivaled some of the best pizza's that I have had in Napoli, the pizza center of the universe. A wonderful experience. Two thumbs up!Guest review byDanUnited States

Special thanks to Vicky who guided our workshops for her amazing personality - we could tell how much she cared about the farm animals! And to Sam for the unforgettable sunset kayak tour! The accomodation was no frills but clean and had everything we needed for our stay. I can't wait to go back!Guest review byElenaCanada
- From £110.66 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 563 reviewsMy stay at Maison Gauthier was very good! The service was kind. The room was very comfortable and clean, too good!!! The location is good, close to the lake and a hill where you can go for a trail, but close to the highway where cars pass from time to time to go to the ferry. Highly recommend!!!Guest review byGabrielBrazil

Nice room with a balcony looking at the saint Lawrence. The staff were very nice. I cannot speak alot of French, and they weren't completely comfortable with English, but with Google translate we got through and were laughing by the end.Guest review byWhitneyCanada

Beautiful scenery.
Beautiful scenery. Parking is much too expensive, but the town is small enough to walk everywhere. The whales didn't show up. For a tourist town, too many signs are French only with no English translations!Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

My visit was to ski at Mont Ti-Basse. Great place to learn how to ski and practice ski racing. Good place to spend a day if you are OK with small local style ski area. Check before visiting to see if all runs are open and all lifts ( 4) are operational. The St Pancrase brewery and restaurant are great. Unfortunately Covid shut down restaurants for this visit.Guest review byElanS2Canada - 8.0

Good for a night, Forestville is a drive-through town with lots of grocery stores, car repair shops and hotels. Forestville is not really on the ocean, so if you want proper views I'd suggest drive further south towards Les Escoumis.Guest review byJulian TeakleCanada - 8.0

The best place to get accommodated if there are less options at Tadoussac. It is calm, safe and perfectly surrounded with all the essentials like gas station, grocery shops, pharmacy, restaurants, ice-cream shops, etc. It's well-accessible from both Tadoussac and Saguenay. Staying here provides a great alternative to reach Quebec City (via Saguenay) especially when the ferry (route 138) at Tadoussac takes so long.Guest review byUmashankarCanada - 10.0

I think you really only need one night in Tadoussac, unless you really want to spend a lot of time touring around the small town. We spent two nights, out of a ten day road trip from Montreal to Saguenay, and while it was definitely one of the most beautiful spots, it was also by the far the most expensive. Had I known what I know now, I would have stayed in Les Escoumins, which is only 20 minutes from Tadoussac (and also really cute but less touristy), camped nearby, or stayed only one night. A lot of the restaurants are overpriced and not very good. We had a hard time deciding on where to eat breakfast and lunch especially - not a lot of good cheaper options. A couple of cute coffee shops but I was disappointed by the coffee. I recommend the microbrewery for their beer and poutine, Chez Mathilde for their tasting menu (expensive but so worth it), Cafe Boheme (pricy but delicious - try the seafood risotto) and walking along the waterfront. We booked a zodiac whale watching tour with Vacances Essipit in Les Bergeronnes, about 20 minutes from Tadoussac, which was really nice and more affordable than AML tours - also it's Indigenous-run, which we were happy to support. We saw a humpback whale and some seals. Was a bit cold (wear lots of layers!) but really fun. We also went to Cap des Bons Desirs and the Marine Environment Discovery Center (we preferred Cap des Bons Desirs, and saw some porpoises and a fin whale there).Guest review byKatrinaCanada - 10.0
The access to the St.
The access to the St. Lawrence River and the whales and seals that inhabit it. The boat ride to spot whales was a little too wet for me…soaking to be precise. However, it did provide some lovely whale sightings. The personnel were helpful and informative, but were sometimes too under time pressure…how do you provide detailed explanations in two languages and keep the material engaging as well as relevant and informative? Good job though!Guest review byYvonneCanada
