Not much to review! 20000 people.
Not much to review! 20000 people. Went to old town and drove though downtown. Lots of people just hanging around on the streets. City is modern architecture with little in the way of historic. Old town is a mix of restaurants and industrial on the shores of a Canadian shield lake. I thought there would be more to see and doGuest review byTomCanada - 8.0
Inuvik is a terrific place, but my warning is about meals.
Inuvik is a terrific place, but my warning is about meals. It is difficult to find open restaurants (none in the AM) so I recommend bringing in groceries or going to the store to purchase picnic essentials.Guest review byAlanCanada - 10.0
the city has it all what you need.
the city has it all what you need. Maybe restaurants options are limited and food a bit more expensive as usual. It is a departure point to Aurora Village, if you forgot something you can buy it here, no problem.Guest review byMiroslav KalinajPeru - 6.0
We only stayed in Inuvik on our way to and from Tuktoyaktuk.
We only stayed in Inuvik on our way to and from Tuktoyaktuk. There is only a takeout restaurant in town but the food was good. There is very little to do, so simply passing through was perfect. Frankly, would not recommend Inuvik as a place to spend much time.Guest review byBarb IsraelCanada - 10.0
Where do I start?!
Where do I start?! The aurora borealis... we hit the timing just right! Kp score of 9... they were blazing! The Northern Lights Yellowknife Tour company was great, except the bus reeked of diesel! The Sun Dog Trading Post kicksled/ice cave tour is a MUST! Stephan and Kelsey were wonderful guides and their dogs are friendly and very well-loved. Snowmobiling with YK Outdoor Adventures with Carlos as our guide was SO much fun! The toboggan dog sledding with a team of 14 dogs was fun. DRESS WARM if it's going to be -30 degrees C as it was for much of our stay.Guest review byGraceUnited States
