- From US$112.67 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.5Good - What previous guests thought, 598 reviewsI chose this place for its location to the ferry and potential whale spotting. The room was a little smaller than expected, but met our expectations. It was very clean and comfortable. Loved being able to look out at the water from our room, sit outside in a chair and even walk down to the beach. Would definitely stay here again.Guest review byCristinaCanada

Beautiful scenery.
Beautiful scenery. Parking is much too expensive, but the town is small enough to walk everywhere. The whales didn't show up. For a tourist town, too many signs are French only with no English translations!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

It is just breath taking, the scenary, Saguenay and Lac Saint Jean area is marvelous. Hiking, biking, walks, sight seeing, it has it all. I loved it, and the road towards Saint Feliciene was amazing, the lakes are beautifull.Guest review byRicardo Andrés SalasColombia - 6.0
The cottage was cute, with upstairs loft bedroom.
The cottage was cute, with upstairs loft bedroom. It was too close to ferry. Restaurant was awful. Someone just walked into our cottage in the middle of the afternoon; on another day, someone was peering in our window. If you miss the ferry, you have to wait 4 hrs in a town with nothing to do, hence going to "explore" cottages., while people are staying there. If you want to do anything "exciting", you have to go back to Quebec City or go to Tadoussac. NOTHING TO DO IN ST-SIMEONGuest review byLouiseCanada - 10.0

What we liked most was the location (close to whale watching departure point in Baie-Saint-Catherine), the cleanliness of the place (rooms, kitchen and lounge), the genuine kindness and helpfulness of the hosts. Although we enjoyed the breakfast, it was on the sweet side (it would be nice with some protein options ie. hard boiled eggs, cheese, and non-canned fruit options),Guest review byAngelaDenmark - 10.0
Quaint village. Pretty houses.
Quaint village. Pretty houses. A supermarket, coffee shop, restaurants and public dock. Lots of places to stay from camping to bed and breakfasts and cottages. Ideally situated for taking a boat whale watching or kayaking the fjord. Hilly terrain if you are biking. Must have a car to travel.Guest review byhilaryCanada - 8.0
Nice little town near the fjord park.
Nice little town near the fjord park. The town’s quay on the fjord is pretty and just a few km from the highway. Auberge du Jardin is recommended for a night or two, as is the nearby restaurant Lez Artes.Guest review byAnn ElaineCanada - 8.0
Lovely location.
Lovely location. Great spot for enjoying outdoor activities. Screened in outdoor porch great for summer "bug" period. Clothesline for clothing, outdoor fireplace. Lakeview - small lake for enjoying paddleboarding/paddleboat. Covered car port a real asset especially in inclement weather.Guest review byDanCanada - 8.0

The best place to get accommodated if there are less options at Tadoussac. It is calm, safe and perfectly surrounded with all the essentials like gas station, grocery shops, pharmacy, restaurants, ice-cream shops, etc. It's well-accessible from both Tadoussac and Saguenay. Staying here provides a great alternative to reach Quebec City (via Saguenay) especially when the ferry (route 138) at Tadoussac takes so long.Guest review byUmashankarCanada - 10.0

I think you really only need one night in Tadoussac, unless you really want to spend a lot of time touring around the small town. We spent two nights, out of a ten day road trip from Montreal to Saguenay, and while it was definitely one of the most beautiful spots, it was also by the far the most expensive. Had I known what I know now, I would have stayed in Les Escoumins, which is only 20 minutes from Tadoussac (and also really cute but less touristy), camped nearby, or stayed only one night. A lot of the restaurants are overpriced and not very good. We had a hard time deciding on where to eat breakfast and lunch especially - not a lot of good cheaper options. A couple of cute coffee shops but I was disappointed by the coffee. I recommend the microbrewery for their beer and poutine, Chez Mathilde for their tasting menu (expensive but so worth it), Cafe Boheme (pricy but delicious - try the seafood risotto) and walking along the waterfront. We booked a zodiac whale watching tour with Vacances Essipit in Les Bergeronnes, about 20 minutes from Tadoussac, which was really nice and more affordable than AML tours - also it's Indigenous-run, which we were happy to support. We saw a humpback whale and some seals. Was a bit cold (wear lots of layers!) but really fun. We also went to Cap des Bons Desirs and the Marine Environment Discovery Center (we preferred Cap des Bons Desirs, and saw some porpoises and a fin whale there).Guest review byKatrinaCanada - 10.0

Saguenay is a beautiful sector, North of Quebec, which seems like the diamond in the rough. No one would think about going to Sagueneay, however, they have great outdoors, both winter and summer. Definitely, a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the great outdoors.Guest review byLouisCanada
