I was glad to find Hotel Metzgern in Sarnen where is not far away from Luzern. Hotel room is clean, quiet with all facilities I need. And it is easy to go to the train station. Staffs are nice with smile. I'd like to tell my freinds this hotel when they come to Switzerland.

This is simply an extraordinary location in the Alps! I spent 3 weeks touring on my motorcycle, and this was by far my highlight. This is a honest as you can get as a proper Swiss stay in the Alps. The bar, restaurant was just honest and original, fantastically good cold beers, and amazing food in large portions served piping hot. The rooms were authentically alpine acommodation, super comfortable and clean.

Central location. Beautiful looking hotel with modern decor. Friendly staff. The sauna area was an added treat. We had the place to ourselves. The mountain views surrounding the whole town were picturesque. Lovely outdoor terrace for dinner & drinks. Cute town, great base for us (we had a car) to spend the day doing Grindelwald/interlaken (1 hr drive) without having to pay the hugely expensive prices of those towns. And also mount Pilatus which was only 25min. I would recommend this hotel for sure
