CanadaThis hotel is impressive for its heritage: first documented as a hotel in the 14C. But despite some intentional remnants in the building, the rooms have been modernized by a designer with excellent style and taste. No indication that the room was any older than a few years! We had a room with a small kitchen and courtyard view, but it was spacious and very quiet - couldn't even hear any noise from the restaurant right below. Murten is a charming medieval town that is worth stopping in for a night when the tourists are gone and the atmosphere is special.

The location is absolutely stunning, right by the beautiful lake, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Waking up to such scenic views was a true highlight of my stay. The Deluxe Apartment itself was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, with all the amenities I could possibly need for a comfortable stay. It really felt like a home away from home. The room was tastefully decorated and had a cozy, welcoming vibe. The staff was exceptional – friendly, attentive, and always eager to assist with any request. It’s clear that customer service is a top priority here, and they go above and beyond to ensure guests have a fantastic experience. The hotel offers plenty of areas to relax and unwind – whether it’s by the lake or in one of the many lounge areas. The entire environment is perfect for both relaxation and enjoying some quality time in a beautiful setting. I would definitely return to Bad Murten See on my next visit to the area! It was everything we expected, based on the Booking.com description, and maybe even a bit better. :) The cleanliness was exemplary! I really am quite exacting concerning hygiene — and this place was literally spotless! The whole place smelt of fresh laundry when we walked in — it really doesn’t get any better than that! The water temperature and pressure in the shower are great! Since both my husband & I have long, luxurious hair, this is a crucial point for us. Many holidays have been ruined, alas, because of bad (cold, weak) showers — but not at the ‘Ofenhaus’! Everything works to perfection! The location is really quiet & calm, but the beautiful medieval town of Murten can be reached on foot (via a short walk of 1km). Small room for 1 which was enough, just separated bathroom on the next door in the corridor. The corner room had no internet which was the main minus especially if you need to work.. It's a very attractive little lakeside town with a medieval centre, including intact and walkable fortification wall, and lots of nice places to eat. It is well-connected transport-wise for visits to nearby attractions like the roman ruins in Avenches or the (really well-worth visiting) 12th century abbey in Payerne.
