- From US$145.67 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 1,517 reviewsLoved my stay at this hotel. The room was large with lots of natural light and warm and cosy. The bed are super comfortable. Lovey big bathroom with nice products. Fridge in the room. The breakfast was fabulous. All the usual suspects and more. The bar with circular fire place was a standout for me. Very atmospheric and relaxing during a cold and rainy stay. Unfortunately due to the rainy weather and heavy cloud cover, I did not get to see the view of the volcano from the hotel. The decor of the hotel is very nice. Refined muted tones accented with local art, historic photographs and beautiful floral arrangements. Everything was super clean and tidy. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is a short walk from the town CBD which has loads of restaurants, cafes, craft shops and lots of adventure shops. My friend used the indoor heated pool which she said was good.Guest review bySusantravelsAustralia
- From US$69.30 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 997 reviewsThe location was excellent, our room overlooking the water. From the exterior the hotel doesn’t give anything away but as soon as we pulled into the car park we were greeted by the friendly and informative staff. The decor was warm, inviting and has a tasteful maritime theme in keeping with the bay. The room was extremely spacious. It has a fully equipped kitchenette, a good hot shower and a large comfortable bed. Despite being on the road, the sound of the traffic wasn’t noticeable. We appreciated the option for room service after a long day travelling and the delicious breakfast with a view.Guest review byFelicityAustralia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 3,943 reviewsSpectacular views from the room. Good southern breakfast with schedules so it's not too crowded, securing yourself a great view every morning. If you have been to Puerto Varas before, you'll know this location is unbeatable, the best restaurants will be at your doorstep and you'll enjoy free parking on your stay, at a quiet and peaceful area! Almost too good to be true. Also, staff was incredibly helpful every time we needed something. I will be staying at this hotel from now on every time I visit my favourite city in Chile. Thank you!Guest review byMANUELAChile
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 165 reviewsWould I stop here again? Absolutely, YES! Fabulous B&B especially if you are a solo traveller wanting good value. Very friendly and welcoming host who speaks perfect English. Spotlessly clean and full of character and interest. Comfy bed and it is very quiet here at night. Perfect for a good night's sleep. The breakfast is delicious here. Excellent WiFi. The views from the garden on a clear day, are stunning! Walking distance into town for a supermarket and restaurant. I would happily recommend this B&B to family and friends.Guest review byanthonyUnited Kingdom
- From US$264 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 385 reviewsWe stayed in a dome with a hot tub and it was excellent. The dome was really nicely done with a comfy bed and a full bathroom. The hot tub was fantastic and we spent many hours over our stay in the beautiful warm water with sound of the river in the background. Restaurant was good for breakfast and dinner. Indoor and outdoor thermal pools on site as well which were nice too. There were also walking trails from the hotel but we didn’t get time to try them.Guest review byHarrietUnited Kingdom

We wanted to have two full days in PV.
We wanted to have two full days in PV. We made the right decision. First day we went to fruitillas for half day. Nice place for some hours. there is e nice theatre there. If you want to visit for a show, you will need to book in advance. Second day was sunday and we booked to trip to the volcanos and waterfalls and beautiful turquoise lake. This was a good choice as sunday most was closed.Guest review byJasnaSuriname - 8.0

Uber works here. Quite a few dining options nearby. Shopping at a 7-story mall is very close: 5 min walk. Beautiful pier for bird watchers. We felt safe here. Most of the city is an easy walk. Love the parrillada and the Club Aleman for lunch and dinner.Guest review byWalterUnited States - 10.0
A "Hidden gem".
A "Hidden gem". Volcano country is about an hour's drive from the city, through a rural countryside that is well worth seeing. There are many lakes, where the locals constantly visit for outdoor camping, sailing and hiking (the water is too cold for swimming). A surprising ethnic mix of peoples (Spanish, Chinese, German and indigenous "Indian") with accompanying blend of architectural styles and their enclaves, and a blend of food choices that can be enjoyed by almost everyone. Our stay at the Sonesta Hotel was fabulous, with personal service everywhere and very comfortable accommodations. But be certain to bring an adapter for the outlets.Guest review byKate ZimmermanUnited States - 8.0

I have always loved Frutillar for its magnificent views of the lake and snow-capped volcano. The town is neat, peaceful, with good cultural activities at the Teatro del Lago where concerts, shows and even opera take place. There is not a large variety of restaurants but Puerto Varas, a nearby city has plenty of them. The scenery around the area is very beautiful with lots of activities to engage in. There is a lot of rain so everything is green and blooming in spring.Guest review byJoseChile - 10.0

Hornopiren is an excellent base waiting for the ferry, but is also a good base to investigate the area around. The coastal route is simply beautiful with fisherman's village and real life stories in front of you. We have seen impressive birdlife, seals, dolphins and nice beaches. To the other side you can follow the bay on where the caratera austral was going to run. A much calmer coast with rain forest cover and beautiful views. There is also the area where the rio blanco and rio negro enter the bay. Beautiful rain forest with great tracking options. In a few words, Hornopiren is worth 2 or 3 days at least. b.t.w. November is great!Guest review byRoelof ArieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

This is a small town with a character of its own, in between volcanoes with an amazing landscape, huge beach with great view of Osorno Volcano, its the beggining of the biggest and oldest National Park in Chile "Parque Nacional Vicente Perez Rosales". I f you want adventure there is a big variety of options for you to pick, from Rafting the Petrohue River ( best companies are Ko Kayak, Nomada, River Friends), hijing up the Volcano with Terrasur Adventure, discovering the park trails, visiting Cascadas town, or adventuring further till the begining of the fiord to Ralun town. If you are keen to discover you will find so much.Guest review byFernandaChile - 10.0

People come here because it is a major transport hub. The town itself is ugly and unsafe. The only place to visit in town is the fun, vibrant fish market. Spend most of your time in wonderful Puerto Varas, just a few km away.Guest review byLorenGUnited Kingdom - 10.0
