The Senda Watapuy is great value for money: from the new, huge, and beautiful bungalows to the incredible pool and the perfect location to enter the Tayrona Parc (10 minutes walking distance), we truly enjoyed our stay there. We relaxed wonderfully and enjoyed great massages. The app to request services was convenient, despite not always accurate. The private pool of the bungalow had jets and felt great to take a break from the sun during the afternoon. It was also very clean and maintained every morning, as well as the bungalow itself. If you're lucky, you can see titin monkeys in the trees in front of your bungalow and hear howler monkeys in the distance!

Deserves a higher rating for the friendliness of the staff and the level of service. Generally, all the staff were friendly, except for one young lady who had an attitude and was distracted. Jennifer is the person to talk to about food and drinks. She is very proactive and knowledgeable. She made a chicken soup for me when I had a cold and always enquired about our stay. Worth staying at the hotel just for her service. The food was generally good, and we can highlight the mexican tomato soup, avocado with quinoa, langostinos al horno, fried pargo, fish ceviche at Koguiwa. The juices were great, so were the margarita and maraqugin cocktails. The restaurant at Watapuy has fusion food, we enjoyed the beef tenderloin with peppersauce, Wasabi tortellini, grilled sea bass and soup. The rooms are comfortable, and could be better with a kettle and more shelf space. The walk to the river and the trek on Sendero Aluno are worth taking. We saw a lot of birds, squirrels and the cotton topped tamarins on the property. The best persons to ask for any assistance is Grace and to follow up is Angie, both have always been concerned about our comfort. The only issue is that you have is to ask for all details as the app has limited info. We even found out the trek by accident while chatting with a gardener. Another highlight was the Khem spa set up overlooking the river. Jomali was amazing with the Thai stretching massage, one of the best treatments ever for me. She was knowledgeable, thorough, caring and pleasant. Danna also gave me an effective chitomassage. The hotel is walking distance from the Tayrona National Park. Get all information before going there as we were surprised about hidden expenses and the need for cash inside. We also visited the Kogui village near Rio Ancho, worth the effort. Rooms were good size, bed very comfortable, view from the balcony was spectacular. The steam room in the spa was great as I haven't found many places in Colombia that have them. Pool area was nice though we didn't use it as we were only there one night. Staff were very friendly and efficient.

Alko hotel was in a good location 2 min from the beach and all the restaurant for the dinner. There is a safe for ur valuables. The breakfast is simple but very tasty fresh juice amd fruits. Pool is tiny on the roof but had a nice vibe. Staff is very friendly and helpful is you need to navigate around thw city or organizing tours. They give you towels if you go to the pool beach or trip as well.

We had 3 nights here, staying in one of the rooms with a jacuzzi on the patio. We absolutely loved our stay here. The rooms were fantastic, with walls of glass giving you a view of the forest, while also being situated for privacy. The bed was very comfortable. We used the jacuzzi a few times and really enjoyed it. The pool area was very nice and connected to the bar/restaurant. The food might have been the best part. Every meal was delicious, and there are lots of options to choose from. We hope to come back one day and highly recommend it.

    This was our second visit to the Santorini and we enjoyed ourselves more this time than last. It is a very Colombian hotel, the atmosphere is warm and friendly and all the staff are very helpful and patient as our Spanish is....... less than perfect. The rooms are large, cool and airy, spotlessly clean and well maintained. The hotel has 3 pools, a sky bar with music, food a good bar and fantastic views. The restaurant has really good choice of good food that is served in generous portions, breakfast is very good too. We booked for bed and breakfast only but the meals were very good value. Security is great and you feel perfectly safe and the beach is across the road and is fantastic. Well definitely be back.

    The hotel is located just in the old city centre, the area seems very safe. The facilities are just fine, the room is not very large but it was quite enough for two persons. The swimming pool seems nice, but we didn't have time for it since we took day trips. We really liked the restaurant: the complimentary breakfast was OK and the dinner that we payed for was great; but the beautiful view from the restaurant terrace made the experience even better!

    Our time in Santa Marta/Rodadero/Minca was nice, although we did not get the full experience of "where the mountain meet the sea" that we were expecting. We did not take a day trip to the national park because yellow fever vaccinations were required for entry. The beaches in the area are okay, though not outstanding. I'm glad we went and got to know the area, but I'd not especially recommend it.

    We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, pool was very nice with the sierra on the back. room was clean and spacious. Sound of the river was very relaxing. Food is very good and tasty, patacones were our favorites. Service just needs to be from good to great to make this the perfect hotel.

    Guachaca was a nice tiny village to stay in with proximity to both Buritaca and Costeño beaches and Tayrona park. It's easy to catch the bus to take you along the main road to these other towns and some hikes. You can swim in the Guachaca river and there is a hike up to a waterfall on the river as well, Cascada Saltillo.

    Taganga offers a unique vibe but isn’t the best beach destination. Nearby beaches can be a better option, though they may get crowded too. Trash is a noticeable issue in Taganga, Santa Marta, and the surrounding areas, which could use more attention. Still, it’s worth a visit if you’re in the area and manage your expectations.

    In general, the online description of the trail is not accurate. You are crossing a mountain range.... steep ups and downs followed by a steep down to the resort. Trails are not to U.S./Canada standards especially when one adds in the fact that horse/burrow traffic is a necessity for supplies. Hope for no precipitation.

    Santa Marta is beautiful and really fun.

    Santa Marta is beautiful and really fun. We stayed 4 nights, which felt just right. There isn't a ton to do there during the day, but we had two wonderful day trips. The other two days we spent wandering around the historic center, visiting the few museums and plazas and drinking a lot of mojitos.

    For those wanting to hike the Tayrona trail, this resort is close by the entrance of the park, and it is a blessing to have this place nearby after hours of walking in the heat. I had a deep tissue massage after my walk and it was divine. My room was beautiful and spacious. Breakfast here is delicious and very generous. Highly recommend.

    Not really what I have been told.

    Not really what I have been told. I was expecting an “hippie vibe place” but more than hippie it is a bit unkept. Try to spend time in nature but avoid the waterfall everyone one goes to. It loses all the magic and silence of the place.

    It's a fishing village, so don't expect much luxury.

    It's a fishing village, so don't expect much luxury. There are many scuba dive shops so I assume diving is an important activity in the area. The nearest beach is full of boats, with a section at the far end for swimmers. Water wasn't that clear. Tried to snorkel but didn't see many fish. You'll need a boat to get to the better beaches, for example the ones in Tayrona Park.
