Very nice swimming pool and amenities, with a beautiful park (with monkeys, all kinds of birds, sloths, iguanas...). Adorable owners, welcoming, always kind and helping with everything.

United KingdomLocation is stunning, right on the sea front on playa negra with a little garden with various hammocks and seating in which to sit watching the waves crash. We had one of the two suites with kitchenette - all was very well equipped with large fridge/freezer and induction hob. Enormous bed and, rather strangely, a jacuzzi corner bath (which we didn't use, but maybe is fun during the rainy season).
Easy and well lit stroll into downtown Cahuita for restaurants, bars, supermarkets and entrance to the National Park.
Pool very clean, sun loungers, chairs and umbrellas.
Private locked parking is across the road, plenty of space.
Staff were wonderful, genuinely happy and helpful.

There is a lovely atmosphere here and the hosts were very welcoming. I had injured my foot when I arrived. Kim gave me some cream for it and helped me to get an xray for it. The proximity to the national park is awesome. We went most days and then spent the late afternoons relaxing in the pool. The kitchen is clean and well equipped. There are various comfortable seating options in the common area indoors and outdoors. The bedrooms are spacious and there is shelving and hanging space for clothes. The AC worked perfectly and hot shower was a luxury we haven't had for many weeks. Kim is very knowledgeable about activities in the area as well as where is best to spot wildlife in cahuita and in the national park. Cahuita is a hidden gem.
Cahuita is a hidden gem. It’s a small, quiet peaceful place to stay that is near to Puerto Viejo, but without the noise. The beaches and wildlife were wonderful, and we loved visiting Cahuita National Park. There is a bus stop in Cahuita which goes to Puerta Viejo. We loved eating at many of the local restaurants.
