The staff was very nice, everybody kind and smiling, the room was bigger than expected (I got upgraded from a single room to a double room), the bed very comfortable and the room even had a balcony. A great plus was also that there was a refrigerator in the room, and a free bottle of water every day. The breakfast was amazing, I mainly booked this hotel because of the breakfast reviews and I was absolutely satisfied with what I got. The breakfast area is very spacious with lots of table and two coffee machines, so there is no queuing at all for table or coffee. And the food selection is very extensive with so many choices that I could not even try everything during my 2 days stay. There are all the usual buffet items, including scrambled eggs and fried bacon, but there are also premade sandwiches, sweet cremes in glass and different kinds of cakes. Also the fruit selection was very extensive, completely amazing! There is a nice big park with a big lake right beside the hotel to take some heartwarming walks. The 20-min walk from the centre is lovely and picturesque, though really only walkable daytime, as there aren't enough street lamps along the way. Our room was a good size for two, neutrally and tastefully furnished, with anti-gnat window nets-:) There is a kettle, and a fridge. The staff offer a pickup from the station for a small fee. Eva on reception was so nice and friendly. For a studio apartment it was spacious and we loved sitting on the balcony which overlooks a hay field. Very pleasant town. Good choice of restaurants. Municipal beach within walking distance – 70 crowns per day. For a snack, try the fried carp from the stand by the lake. Bike hire info from the tourist office is out of date. Best bet is to go to the railway station, which hires bikes. This is a cyclist's paradise! There are countless trails that come and go around the complex system of lakes in this region. Each day you can go in a new direction, and come back to the lovely town of Třeboň. The architecture and ambiance of Southern Bohemia is historic but never overstated. Trebon is one of the most beautiful little towns in Czech Republic. It is renaissance marvel, with large Chateau, 3 squares, and landscape full of huge lakes (medieval-renaissance fishponds). Definitely worth to stay. They are famous health spas there.Guest review byMarinCzech Republic
