I really had a lovely stay in this hotel. Its a renovated old schoolhouse and you can see its evolution from school to hotel on various trendy pictures on the corridor walls. It's very nicely decorated in a modern style but manages to keep its old worldly charms. The breakfast room is very large (like a school canteen) and there was a large selection of things to eat. Really enjoyed the breakfast! Our room was comfortable, spacious and quiet. The location was good too for what we needed. There is a U-bahn stop about 5 minutes walk away which brings you to the city centre in about 20minutes. There is a nice and cozy bar / lounge area just left of the reception area. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I really liked my stay here. If I return to Hamburg one day I would go back here again without hesitation (if not too expensive). I think I got a good deal this time.

    Just amazing! The room was big and airy. Two types of pillows provided Inc feather one. Microwave, tea /coffee facilities, fridge PLUS a plastic box containing cutlery, plates and washing up liquid, tea towel etc with the box doubling as a washing up bowl. A first for me and so useful. Housekeeping top class Beds so comfortable, would have brought mine home but too big for my suitcase.😅 Restaurant was super , service always with a smile despite being rushed off their feet at times! Breakfast was exceptional. Such a huge choice to suit almost everyone and most diets. A lovely airy and large breakfast room. Reception so kind and helpful and again, happy smiling faces from all which I know isn't always easy working in hospitality. Bus stop around the corner to the City and every 20 mins. Nearby small supermarket with large range of products and bakery next to it. Would certainly stay here again !

    Very friendly staff.. easy check in and out process. Great bar, breakfast and evening meal. Very good location for our stay near the port. Good selection of bars and restaurants near by, close to center and train station. Wifi excellent and good facilities in the bathroom. Safe in the room. Nice touches such as an apple a day to keep the doctor away and we were left a jar of jam with a santa hat as there over christmas.

    I really recommend this place to everyone. Just know it’s a bit far from the center. At first, we were a little disappointed, but then we found out we could leave the car at the hotel and take a ferry every 15 minutes. It was a fun and easy way to get to the city.

    Viator as a tour operator was very disappointing I booked a tour and I thought I could start the tour, hop on hop off plus the harbour and lake tour, any day he had me scheduled for day I arrived and of course I couldn’t read it because I got there late in the day. So I booked the same trip for the next day and they would not refund my newest trip so I am owed 175 euros But I did enjoy the three days in the city we got to see a lot and had some good food

    3 days is more than enough to experience Hamburg. The public transport tickets are excellent value for money especially when you’re in a group (up to 5 people) and the public ferries routes are very nice

    Hamburg is a hidden gem of a City. I’m Not sure I’d want to be there in the winter but it is gorgeous and so much to see! There are lakes to sail on, a stunning botanical garden, beaches in the river, a new philharmonic building, museums, pride parades, river tours. Truly the list is endless
