The hotel is very clean, every detail is considered, check in was a breeze, room (Hamburg) was very well prepared, cleaned up and refreshed daily. Breakfast was good, the very friendly staff even cooked for our request. Coffee was good too. Enough selection of food, croissants were also tasty 😊. We are contented on our stay, ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the Staff especially the Receptionist, very accommodating and helpful. I forgot to ask for her name. Location was perfect, quite and nature friendly, nice golf course. Bed was comfy, pillows however was not my definition of comfortable but I could still sleep on it. The apartment itself was modern and beautiful.

The hotel is beautiful in a very nice location for relaxing trip in the Mosel. Since we had the private sauna suite, I’m a bit biased when saying that it was amazing. As someone who grew up with Finnish sauna, I must say the one we had in our room was superb. In addition, the bubble bath was amazing. The restaurant food was very good as well.

This is really an amazing place, so charming and cozy. We liked it since the moment we parked our car in front. All the surroundings and the hotel itself are wonderful! The staff is super friendly and nice. The room was warm and cozy. Maybe we had luck, but the swimming pool area was not crowded at all and we really enjoyed it. The dinner and the breakfast were very delicious. There is also a bar, where we tested some cakes with beer and we were not disappointed at all :) This is a perfect place to relax and be close to the nature. I would highly recommend it, we will be back for sure :)

Lovely city, lots of sights to see.

Lovely city, lots of sights to see. After 3 visits we still haven't seen everything. Lots of places to have a drink in the afternoon and early evening, but bar and terraces do seem to close early. So if it's a warm summer evening and you want to have an evening drink that may be a bit of a problem.

Boppard is a pretty town and small enough to be able to get...

Boppard is a pretty town and small enough to be able to get anywhere on foot. There are many bars and restaurants. The weather was hot during our visit, so we spent most evenings in the Ebertor Biergarten overlooking the Rhine. Food and drink there were good and reasonably priced. We also made several visits to the De Lorenzi Eiscafe. There are a lot of great and well marked walking trails (Traumschleifen) nearby - you can pick up printed copies of these at the Tourist Information in the town or online. The Sesselbahn cable car is a must for great views of the Rhine. Boppard is a great base from which to explore the Rhine Gorge. There are many castles to visit (we particularly enjoyed Marksburg) and many cruise lines stop at Boppard. We took the KD Nostalgie cruise to Bacharach (2 hours each way, with 3.5 hours for lunch and to explore Bacharach) and would thoroughly recommend this.

Its a small Rhine River town with a nice selection of stores. It's quiet and an old castle you can walk or drive up to. It's a great small town to take a break within short dive to explore other Rhine towns north and south of St Goar.

Bacharach is truly a hidden gem in Germany.

Bacharach is truly a hidden gem in Germany. I had one day to explore Germany before meeting up with my tour group, and I read Rick Steve's Germany book and he recommended the Rhine Valley. He also recommends Bacharach as a city to set up base in. Bacharach is such an interesting town! So much history, much of the original buildings are still intact and in use. I did the Bacharach historical walk from Rick Steve's book and it took about an hour and a half. So relaxing and enriching. there's also a K-D tour boat that stops in Bacharach so you can travel up and down the Rhine and view sites such as the Lorely,

Treis-Karden is a good base to go hiking.

Treis-Karden is a good base to go hiking. The hiking trail to Burg Eltz was very nice, I did the black route. The last part is the heaviest part. I went to the viewing point of the castle and then went back. I did that because there is an entrance fee that you have to pay for the castle, even if you just want to order food and drinks. In the afternoon I went to Mörsdorf to visit the Geierlay hanging bridge, which was awesome. Note that the bus (line 746) does not go there every hour and that the line is not currently on Google Maps. So search online for the schedule or visit the tourist office in the train station. During my stay the buses ran from the water-side of the station instead of the official bus stop, so double check if that is the case for you. Both these things could have been their own day, since there are more hiking trails available in both places.

The best is its great location, especially in those rooms that have a total view of the Porta Nigra. It is close to the most enchanting places of Trier. The worst: a) the night staff is terrific, b) there is no designated space to leave your luggage for a few hours; they left it just behind the front desk. c) The bedclothes are not the standard in Mexico and the USA. It only includes a coat that does not completely protect you; it is too heavy in hot weather, and I suppose that having conditioned air in wintertime could be enough. But I didn´t like it.
