- From £177.61 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.0Good - What previous guests thought, 197 reviewsBreakfast was very nice, the buffet was not overly plentiful in terms of variety (but there was something for every taste to be sure) but everything tasted really, really excellent. The hotel is located near the sea, so it was very easy to go hiking in the area along the coastline - staff was quite helpful in organising stuff and the hotel offers really nice lunch packages for hiking. There is also a restaurant directly in the hotel which was very good (but quite expensive for people used to prices outside Denmark). Rooms are quite big. When there were problems in our room (water leaking from the ceiling after a strong rain), we got a nice upgrade to a really nice room with sea-view.Guest review byJürgenGermany
- From £214.05 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 422 reviewsWe got the ground floor room which opened to the pond in the back, and it was a dream. Quiet, absolutely gorgeous, surrounded by nature sounds. Perfect place to spend a night to relax before our wedding. The room includes coffee and teas, as well as a decent hair dryer, which is always nice. The little deck on the pool was just the perfect spot to sit and relax.Guest review bymarionaSpain

I've been to Roskilde for the festival every years since 1992 and also as a tourist off-festival. It's a cosy small Danish town with lots of restaurants and pubs + few sightseeing locations like the cathedral and the Viking museumGuest review byJimiGermany - 10.0
I traveled by train from Copenhagen to do a 3 day hike.
I traveled by train from Copenhagen to do a 3 day hike. Koge was such a pleasant surprise - gorgeous architecture, good little hotel close to the market square, lots of amenities (shops/restaurants). Took a bus from train station (get your bus and train tickets in a 7 Eleven) to furthest point to hike to Stevens Klimt. Had to return there that night to connect onto another train to Mons Island - amazing hiking spot! Koge is not a touristy town so really nice to see the Danes doing their market shopping on a saturday morning too. Great restaurants too.Guest review byBirgittaAustralia - 6.0

The town is not very interesting but it is close to the ferry which was an advantage to me. I recommend that you avoid the Rödby Steakhouse and Pizzaria, on Östergade, the main street. I went there for a quick meal. The waitress and the cook were polite and friendly but the owner seems dishonest. He refused the payment by card and he asked me to pay cash in euro. He gave me the change, coins, in Turkish lira instead of in euro. He made some 3 - 4 euros by this trick which is really small money, but it caused a very negative impression. It is sad and a pity.Guest review byPeterSweden - 4.0
I do not recommend.
I do not recommend. Everything is far and hard to reach without car or bicycle If you want to see Mons Klint, try to stay near there. Or just do a day-trip from Copenhagen, starting early in the morning.Guest review byMihoDenmark - 10.0

We drove to Stege and Mons Klint from Copenhagen - an easy drive and well worth the trip. We loved the GeoCenter and the cliffs themselves. We probably could have spent a little more time there to enjoy the many trails and time on the beach. We only had a few hours; a full day would have been better, but the time we had was well-spent. In the late evening/early morning we headed to Dark Sky Nyord to catch a glimpse of the amazing Milky Way and we were not disappointed! Stege itself had lots of nice food options. We enjoyed pizza at Restaurant Pizzeria Defino and were impressed by the bustling business they were doing. It's apparently quite popular with the locals too.Guest review byBrooks - 10.0
Lovely small city with some great restaurants.
Lovely small city with some great restaurants. Lovely scenery and relaxing vibe. Ferry just south to Germany was above our expectations. We were recommended Restaurant B but you need a reservation...the place smelled of excellent cooking! They recommended we try Bangs Have...awesome place with a very good Chef and Luisa the maitre di/server was outstanding. She gave us top service and good choices. Loved our meal and the location on the water and in the trees is Magical!! Try this place you won't be disappointed.Guest review byMaria - 10.0
Such a charming little city with so many historical sites!
Such a charming little city with so many historical sites! We were there for a little over 24 hours and could have done with 1 more day for sure. We visited the fjord, the harbor, the Viking Ship Museum, and took a short walk through the city center on the first evening. For the next half a day, we went to the Ragnarock museum (a must-visit), Roskilde Cathedral (another must-visit), and went on a stroll around the city center. I always check out the Indian food scene at a new place, and we went for lunch at Namaste Roskilde and they didn't disappoint! Overall, a great place for a weekend getaway (for people living close to Denmark).Guest review byBiswas - 4.0
The town is frankly rather non descript.
The town is frankly rather non descript. The largest hotel has a glorious position by the lake. Eating out in centre is mostly choice of second rate pizzerias. I love Denmark but will give this place a miss next time I am passing.Guest review byNicholasDenmark - 10.0
