Charming property. I highly recommend this property for couples, singles or small groups of friends. The relaxed Boho style of the hotel invites you to sip a cocktail while looking at the ocean, or you can simply relax in the hammocks while reading a book.

The seperior customer service agent Tatiana and Manager Alexander provided us with above and beyond fantastic professional service when we were stressed out about getting our rooms expecially when my husband was sick. They really deserve to be mentioned and applauded! They were very very kind and gave us the nicest room in the hotel. It was just gorgious. We were so very pleased! The Jr. Suite was immaculate giving you every thing you need. Many bottles of water, the bed was wonderful. The view...was amazing. Great air conditioner. Gorgious modern room. The bell man was so helpful also. And I asked to show me how to turn on the english on the tv and they sent some one up immediately. The pool was wonderfull and we enjoyed immensely the live music which we imbraised as my spirit danced around the pool. Such ambiance. The breakfast was very good also. I also liked my Sons Bunglow room. Immaculate and fresh! So quite with a pool steps across from their room. The secret door to the beach was a find and ez passage to the beach. Loved it! And the showers for your feet was just a happy site when we came back through the secret door from the beach. The location is is the best in all of Manta...Seriously!!! The hotel is exactly as it appears in the pictures. Amazing ocean's view from the pool. The room was comfortable, and all services were offered as promoted. The staff is very professional and committed. They adjusted to our necessities. The hotel is located in a silent area, just a few minutes walking from the Mall del Pacifico. This is a residential and secure area. Food in breakfast was fresh and varied.

I can completely say that I speak from experience and...

I can completely say that I speak from experience and knowledge about this city. I'd lived in Manta, Manabi, Ecuador from December 1, 2003, until late June 2013. I felt that Manta was the lost jewel that I'd always been looking for. The city was bustling with commerce during the day and at night it came alive with fiestas and parties. The club scene was outstanding and little to no violence. Of course, they had the criminal element, but they knew to stay on their turf and not venture outward. The beaches were always alive and restaurants outstanding. I love the city and I go back often to visit my Godson and his family. Now, let's fast forward to 20 years later and the here and now. Since the uprising in Venezuela that led to the migration of their criminals to Ecuador and the corruption of the government of Ecuador since the presidency of President Correa ended, it has been a free for all of crime and violence. They have allowed illegals to enter and ravish the City of Manta, bringing their prostitution, drugs, and violent crime to a once peaceful and bustling city. No one, not even the police are doing something about it. Hence, la policia acostada, the term means the police laying down. I would visit Cuenca if I wanted to vacation in Ecuador or Guayaquil, but Guayaquil is much more down the drain than Manta. It is shameful what corruption and evil can do to a place. Now, you have it, the truth unfolded. My last time in Manta was May 19 thru June 1, 2023. The good people of Manta are still the best people on the planet. I feel so sorry for the situation that they are in.

David is a huge asset to the hotel. He knows and loves the area and is happy to help with any information or advice to make your trip better. The hotel is a beautiful property and all the staff were awesome. The beaches are beautiful, not too crowded, and only a block from the hotel. We didn’t get to explore Tonsupa, but Atacames is a short taxi ride with a lot going on.

It's just too crowded and the air is very polluted. If you like big city life then you'll like Salinas. But if you want a place where you can just relax on the beach, this is not that place. Beaches are VERY crowded, lots of background noise. Honestly the air pollution here is horrible for a peninsula. It smells like Newark, New Jersey.

I like visiting Montanita but wouldn't want to stay much longer than 4-5 days. Thee's not enough to do--unless you are in love with the beach! There are excellent food options and the Tia tienda provides options for cooking on your own. The beach is SUPERB!

There were many restaurants with good food, fresh seafood especially! There are many agents selling tours for whale watching, snorkling, skin diving, park tours and all sorts of recreational activities. Lots of small shops with tourist items. The whale season is local winter so the temperature is cooler than most expect. It gets down to 69F or 20C at night. The wind makes it feel cooler. The small motorcycle rickshaws are called "motors" and serve as taxis. The currency is US dollars and $1-$1.50 gets you anywhere in town.

Atacames is a fairly normal Ecuadorian Beach town. A nice, if comercial 'boardwalk' along the beach, the Malecon, and about 10 by 20 blocks of town behind it. Lots of choice for dining and shopping. The beach is clean and wide, the ocean a treat. Activities are available at not unstandard prices.

Ayampe is a quiet and extremely safe location. It is next to the Colibri trail which is one of the best birdwatching locations in Ecuador. This small place has a range of excellent restaurants which are very reasonably priced. It has good surfing available and the beach is fantastic and very quiet.

Manta is a regional hub - hard to avoid but not really a tourist destination. We traveled by bus and the bus station is far from the city center. As experienced travelers, we made an intermediate hotel work for us but most tourists would probably prefer accommodations on the far side of the city above Murcielogo Beach. Downtown the restaurant Casa Rosada was great. If you want the beach and fishing village ambiance, pass by Manta and pick a coastal town further south.
