- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 2,343 reviewsLocation was perfect. Our room was in an ideal position. Staff were very friendly and helpful Breakfast options were plentiful and exceeded our expectations We booked 3 rooms and the hotel ensured all 3 rooms were on the same floor and very close to each other (without us needing to ask) Although the beach is not private for the hotel it felt that way. The beach club staff were great at setting up umbrellas and sun lounges for everyone This trip was very special as my sister is battling terminal cancer, and we wanted to spend some quality time with her and her children. I didn't mention this to the hotel, however the staff still went above and beyond and made the stay memorable. I will be forever greatful for the hotel giving us a lifetime of memories to look back on.Guest review byBillyAustralia
- From £92.79 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 6.0Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 321 reviewsLocation was very nice with a nice view to the ocean, beach and big public parking lot and with a terrace. We were mostly there to rest for the evening and left in the morning. It was pretty okay, but the bed wasn't very good. The staff, what little we met, was pretty nice but not particularly service minded. It was okay, I like to do things on my own anyway.Guest review byJanDenmark

I was incredibly lucky to choose this town for my accommodation! I knew nothing about it, I just chose the cheapest hostel that was also beautiful and had the best reviews, and was close to the beach. And it was a hit! It's a small town, but there are lots of great supermarkets and restaurants. There's a chic flea market nearby on Sundays. The beaches are absolutely incredible, and there's the Balcony of Europe. Overall, it's a great balance of tourist life.Guest review byOlenaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

we had never been to Torre Del Mar before and really liked it. It is a holiday resort visited by mostly Spanish people and as a result the food is better and good value compared with other places on the Costa Del Sol. We ate at Casa Lolo, La Brassiere and Grigio Pikilia There's a lovely entertainment area for children at the beach and each evening there is live entertainment at the Paseo Maritimo You can access Velez Malaga with it's historic old town, by bus, plus Caleta Velez, Torrox and Nerja.Guest review byLeckie - 10.0

Frigliana is a beautiful little town clinging to the mountainside - so obviously it's hilly! There are plenty of brilliant restaurants and bars available - some of the ones on the main drag are a bit touristy, but up in the old town and on the outskirts, there are plenty of family-run wonderful places serving home cooked food. One bar in particular - Vinos El Lager serving a glass of local wine & a Pincho for 2 Euro and... it was good! Great start to an evening. I also heartily recommend Puerto Blanquillo Frigiliana Restaurant on the South Side of the village. Fantastic seafood at great prices and brilliant with the kids. Try the Swordfish, you won't be disappointed!Guest review byGaryUnited Kingdom - 10.0

In my opinion this resort is perfect for anyone who wants a relaxing holiday. There are enough bars and restaurants open out of season. It's a clean resort with great transport links to the surrounding area and if you have a car it is a beautiful part of the region to explore the authentic Andalucuia.Guest review byKeithUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It is a cozy town situated along the beach. Clean, friendly, with nice restaurants. The sand on the beach is dark, the water was too cold for me. There is a splendid hiking route along the see cliffs, and a cave which is totally worth of visiting. You can get to Malaga by bus, it takes around 30 minutes.Guest review byPlatonova - 4.0
Scruffy ugly area.
Scruffy ugly area. Dreadful beach akin to the sand coming from a construction site...No sea front bars and limited bars and restaurants (we found two) within a 20 minute walking radius of our hotel. This should never be described as a "tourist" spot. Somewhere to recommend people you do not like..Guest review byNormanSpain - 10.0

Velez Malaga is a really nice town with a mix of both the old part and new. It has lots of little cobbled back streets with very traditional little Spanish bars and restaurants scattered around, although as it's not your typical tourist destination be prepared for many bars not to open on certain days, although when you can sample them you may be pleasantly surprised at the reasonable cost compared to your typical Costa! In addition, it's literally next door to the seaside resort of Torres del Mar, so if you fancy a swim in the sea, it's just a 5 minute drive. There is also a decent golf course (Baviera) a short 15 min drive away.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom - 10.0

If you are looking for a peaceful town to holiday in that is still only a 40-minute drive away from the heart of Malaga city centre, then Benajarafe is the place! It has a lovely long beach with many beach clubs that provide great food and a sea view.Guest review byLottie
