One of the best holidays we have had in Benasque. We stayed in the Junior suite with fireplace as we were travelling with our dog. It was such a nice experience to return from a day hiking in the mountains, to light a fire, have a nice bath and relax. We stayed over Christmas and had a delicious lunch at the restaurant. The location is beautiful and very peaceful yet still within walking distance or a short drive from restaurants and shops. Our suite was impeccably clean and very comfortable. We liked that everything incl the towels and sheets were of very high quality and the whole building was very beautiful. The staff were wonderful. They always made us feel very welcome, had fantastic tips and maps for nearby walks, and were always happy to help us out with anything. There are also horses nearby which you can see from the playground. There is a swimming pool (note that it’s open only July-August). The place has a small kitchen which has enough to be able to cook. I visited Benasque to compete in the Vuelta al Aneto trail race. The race started and ended in Benasque. Benasque is a great base for outdoor activities (hiking, trail running, mountain biking) with many shops providing gear and support for your adventures. An unspoilt small village, but be aware some restaurants are not open every day and many only open at 8pm. We ate in a few different places and food was good and staff were both helpful and friendly in all. Nice long and short scenic trails, but ensure you take a map of the walks with you as there are many variations of trails and would be easy for inexperienced to take the wrong routes when returning.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Absolutely beautiful, felt like we were inside a Disney...
Absolutely beautiful, felt like we were inside a Disney movie. That being said, there was not much to do except bars/restaurants and outdoor activities like hiking and skiing. Difficult to get anywhere without a car, but worth the effort for the views of the mountains. There are numerous good hikes in the area, even if you don't have your own transport. If you do, even better. It's an attractive traditional mountain village/small town and ideally placed for trekking in the high Pyrenees, including summits like Posets/Llardana and Aneto as well as the GR11 and its variants.
