- From £104.83 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 398 reviewsVery easy to register with an exceptionally helpful receptionist who highlighted places and events on the town map supplied. She was also helpful with enquiries during my stay. Easy key drop early in the morning I left. The room was kept spotless during my stay - excellent and attentive cleaning staff. The apartments are just across from the beach, within easy walking distance of the town and restaurants. There are bus stops just outside the apartments for the circular bus route into town and easy street parking if you have a car. The restaurant downstairs can be/should not be overlooked - such friendly staff and surprisingly excellent meals. There is also a very good buffet breakfast - not advertised and somewhat hidden away. In all everything made for a perfect holiday - thank you.Guest review bySueUnited Kingdom

Very well equipped bathroom with lots of hygiene products. Staff was amazing, especially the guy in the cafeteria who served me a small breakfast near the pool. Exceptional value for money (note that I stayed off season and during the week). I would immediately book this hotel again.Guest review byTravellor26United Kingdom

Almuñécar is a beautiful little town, still unspoiled by too fancy tourist facilities. It has that beautiful Mediterranean feeling, a peaceful life sense, and a slow pace that can only be enjoyed. It is an enjoyable place for a vacation, and certainly a great place for families with kids. It has everything you need from the modern perspective (supermarkets, post office, pharmacy, some large brand stores, McDonald's restaurant, bus station, healthcare facilities), but still carries that old-time sense of peaceful living.Guest review byMarkoEkmedzicGermany - 10.0

Such a great little city that feels very safe and enjoyable for travellers. We loved the local feel of Motril, unlike other places along the coast that we visited. The locals were friendly and there was a great selection of restaurants and bars as well as a nice walk to the beach with good access for pedestrians. I wouldn’t recommend bringing a car as the streets are little but a scooter or moped would be ideal. You must try Pizzeria Vespa and Zarcillo Restaurant was such a special place to go for dinner too. We also loved a little late night walk around the cactus garden which is such a cute place. Motril, you were excellent!Guest review byPaigeCzech Republic - 10.0

Nice seaside town plenty of restaurants/bars either in town or on beach. Stoney beach but big and not too crowded when we went in June. Seemed a more upmarket resort than some of the other towns nearby.Guest review byJulieUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Salobrena is a lovely town with a real mixture of new and old. We particularly liked the old town and Arab quarter walking up to the castle. The beach side is everything you would expect and has all the necessary amenities. The only thing we were disappointed with was the amount of fog faeces not being picked up!!! It was a shame as it spoils what is rather a nice place.Guest review byLoulou68United Kingdom - 8.0
Castell de Ferro is a lovely Spanish town with all the...
Castell de Ferro is a lovely Spanish town with all the amenities you need. It is a place where you make your own entertainment and just walking around, sampling the bars can be a great experience. it is not touristy although there are quite a few Brits around; mostly they have made their homes here and integrated into Spanish life. Some of the waiters in the bars and people in the shops speak a little English but not many and not much. So make the effort to learn a few phrases and take a dictionary with you. The locals are happy to help, but even with some Spanish, I found them hard to understand. The accent is very hard and they speak fast! The town square is lovely as is the sea front. Busses go from the town square to resorts along the coast, both towards Malaga and Almeria. We found a car essential to get to the town and then to get out and about when we were there. A good base for this very Spanish part of the costa.Guest review byAnitaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Calahonda is a peaceful location.
Calahonda is a peaceful location. Many locals and holiday homes. Typically Spanish. Although coming out of Covid times and possibly slightly out of tourist season, there were many bars and restaurants in the town that were not open. However, still enough for us to find some good food and drinks - and some incredible tapas included with drinks. Lovely beachfront. The location was perfect for us - but to be aware it is a small and not overly touristy area, best for total relaxation. Don't let the polytunnels put you off as you drive down from the main road, before heading into Calahonda town itself, as once in the town you are unable to see them.Guest review bySharonHaleSpain - 10.0
Everyone I met was so friendly and accommodating.
Everyone I met was so friendly and accommodating. Not too touristy. The water was so clear and refreshing. Everywhere we ate at was such good value for money and the food was delicious. Loved it. Will definitely be back.Guest review byStuddertUnited States - 10.0

It is a very traditional , working town which we like . Tapas bars every where and a tapas run is definitely something to do , you can’t go wrong . Free tapas with every drink( except coffee) . The history of the sugar cane is interesting and there are patches of old sugar cane everywhere . Beautiful gardens , including a cactus garden , right in the centre of Malaga, next to the church on the hill . The church is beautiful if it is open , sorry can’t help on opening times but I know Sunday mass is at 10 am . Nearby Salobrena is worth a visit , it has a moorish castle and a regular bus service . Almunecar is also very lovely. Skiing 2 hours away in Sierra NevadaGuest review byJulieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We have been coming to La Herradura for nineteen years and are never disappointed by the location, facilities and restaurants. One niggle this year - Having had a swim in the sea, we were disappointed to find the beach showers had been turned off.Guest review byAngelaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Salobreña is a lovely old town on a small (but steep) hill, with a newer part on level ground at the bottom and a seaside development 15 minutes walk away. The beach development is almost all low-rise (2 stories), with lots of planting etc. Parking there is difficult when it's busy. There are lots of restaurants to choose from and there are nice walks in the surrounding area.Guest review byTerrySpain
