- From £140.35 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 404 reviewsThe hosts were very friendly and helpful. Checked we had everything we needed. The house was clean and well equipped, ans in a beautiful setting. Our junior suite was directly opposite the amazing pool, so only about 10m. It had great (& quiet) aircon, needed as it was 39 degrees. The pool is like a beach theme so you can easily walk in, lay in to read and swim properly as well. It is an infinity pool with great views of the mountains. Our house had a terrace with dining table/chairs, relaxing chairs and a bed for sunbathing. We went as a three, my husband and 15 Yr old daughter so she slept on the sofa bed (which she said was very comfortable) Inside the rooms we're spacious and clean. There was enough to cook a little with 2 ring hob, microwave, toaster and coffee machine as well as a dishwasher. Manoli supplied water, milk and coffee plus delivered fresh bread every morning with butter, jam, olive oil and tomato paste for breakfast which was wonderful. All replenished if requested. The gardens and pool were cleaned and watered every day and were beautiful and well tended. There is a campsite next door with a lovely restaurant serving local food and pizza, which can be to take away too. Great place, and will definitely come back. Loved itGuest review byNickyUnited Kingdom
- From £98.68 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,644 reviewsIt was the most beautiful location with outstanding and wonderful service. I ate in the square so cannot comment on the food but the bar service was very good and the rooms outstanding. I cannot thank the reception staff enough for their exemplary service and the great sadness was not meeting Raquel with whom I had communicated by email and who was an Angel with the care she took to make my reservation and stay world class. Also the perfect stop half way down through Spain on anyone’s travels to the south. Well worth the effort of going off piste and ignore the average surrounds of Plasencia the Parador and all that surrounds it is in the old quarter and is stunning.Guest review byRobinSouth Africa
- From £60.65 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 251 reviewsEverything! Absolutely stunning site, immaculate and warm bungalows which were modern and fully equipped. A quiet, peacefull site. We even extended our stay, which the staff made very easy and welcoming. The staff, especially Blanca and Maria, were so helpful with advising areas to visit and knowledge of surrounding areas. Even though we visited in the quietest part of the year, there was still so many activities to keep the kids entertained. WiFi was great and TV perfect. Food from the restaurant could be delivered straight to our door and was fresh and tasty. We will be back!Guest review byAlexaSpain
- From £79.71 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 275 reviewsAbsolutely wonderful cute little houses. Very clean with all facilities. The jacuzzi after a long drive hit the spot! Beautiful views and great facilities We didn't stay the right time of the year for the pool so will need to go back! It was completely silent, the bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in and I going to look for the same bedding which was super cosy. Very friendly staff and the breakfast was lovely. The restaurant closed dinner before we arrived again next time!Guest review byFionaUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 273 reviewsWhat a wonderful place! From the warm welcome from Ana who showed us around, to the charming and clean 2 bedroom unit with comfortable beds, Air-conditioning, kitchen with everything needed. Ana even left some bread, pastries, coffee, milk, jam, juice, etc. in the fridge for our breakfast. The green grounds are Park like, with a swimming pool. Fully enjoyed the tranquility and the beauty of the place. Will definitely return.Guest review byAmaleSpain
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.1Good - What previous guests thought, 207 reviewsThe location of the hotel is great - walking distance into the wonderful town of Trujillo and with easy access to main roads. The staff are friendly and helpful although very little English spoken. We had two evening meals there which were fine although showing the usual Spanish absence of vegetables (chips with everything). The room was adequate although the bathroom could do with some work.Guest review byLeighUnited Kingdom

Caceres is well worth a trip.Theres lots to see and much atmosphere to soak up.Nice friendly city/town with many nearby places worth a visit such as Truillo and Guadalupe......Actually the historic architecture in both Caceres and Truillo is something to write home about!..If your into nature there are literally scores of square Kms of wild flowers in the surrounding countryside thanks to light touch farming practises and this brings many insects which in turn bring many birds and other creatures...Definitely worth a trip is the national park in Monfrague so youll need to hire a car to get the best of that type of thing.Guest review bymichaelIreland - 10.0

We did not have much time in the town but we spent a few hours and it seemed to be a great town. The town is very very clean, well looked after and we felt safe walking around the town. The squares are beautiful, the plants, flowers are gorgeous!! We ate a great meal at kebab closer to the hotel Sercotel Grand Hotel. We had delicious ice cream at Heladeria ‘Augustin Mira’… loved it. The hotel is really worth staying. Beds are comfortable and the place spotless! The breakfast is the best so far. Lots of options and variety of fruits, juices, cold meats, breads and there was butter croissants and chocolate croissants. Different options of cakes, including cupcakes and the coffee, the best!!Guest review byAna Leticia PylesIreland - 8.0

Plasencia is a small town, the centre has narrow hilly streets, parking in the centre is difficult but there is plenty of free parking near to the park with an escalator to take you up the steep hill to the centre. There are several supermarkets, a Carrafeur on the North side and several smaller supermarkets on the south side. There is a river running along the East side. There are many restaurants available, fast food near to the Carrafeur and more upmarket ones in the centre. Plasencia is at the foot of the Jerte valley, where most of the cherries in Spain are grown, you can drive to the top of the valley, which takes around an hour and is very scenic.Guest review byPhilipUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lovely city, well recommended.
Lovely city, well recommended. Good food generally and we found one superb restaurant. People tend to eat later than many areas so be aware of this. Plenty to do for a 2 night stay. Very interesting place.Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Entering the city not exciting., but I didn’t want to stay in a big city of Seville ( I was going north Spain). 90 minutes from airport was just perfect to recover from jet lag. Plaza Mayor very pleasant- like most of the Spanish cities. Cobbled streets, small shops, cafes- add a nice atmosphere to the city.Guest review byElizabethUnited States - 10.0

Hervás is a lively and charming little historic town, located in an area of stunning natural beauty, and conveniently located for travellers who are heading along, or across, the Ruta de la Plata highway in western Spain, not too far from the border with Portugal, at any time of the year. The town itself is very pedestrian friendly, full of culture with great restaurants, bars, shops and a great collection of sculpture and paintings in the Museo Perez Comendador-Leroux. The locals are really welcoming, the food and wine are fantastic, and it's the kind of place that gets under your skin and keeps you coming back again!Guest review byJamesSpain - 10.0

We stayed unplanned in town because of an emergency stop due to weather conditions. The location is great in the middle of Spanish country side but really not far away from Sevilla and Merida. Both magnificant places to visit. The town is the lhome of the Ham Museum. A small one but a very well mantained educational center with a guided tour for us. We found two stores in town just selling ham, and if you go online they ship all over Europe. The hotel we stayed is a spa we would have loved to explore. Next time:)Guest review byChristaUnited States - 10.0

Spain at Easter time is generally complicated.
Spain at Easter time is generally complicated. But even so, we managed to book restaurants without any major problems and visit the main attractions. Cáceres is one of the most beautiful cities in Spain (and I say this as someone who has seen many), with a fantastic historic center and lots to see, including in the surrounding area — Mérida, Cáceres, Trujillo, Los Barruecos... We will definitely be back one day.Guest review byCarlos A. A.Portugal
