- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,639 reviewsThe view is unbeatable. We finally find peace in Gran Rey. The vibe here is so welcoming and healing. It's low key yet very cozy. The bed is very comfortable. Very clean everywhere. We can sense that the team is maintaining the hotel with heart and love. The service worth 5 star. It's very considerate of then to offer free dinner on arrival. For late customers after 10 pm, they even prepared a table with cold dish and dessert, we really appreciate it. The staff are so sweet and helpful, treating us like family. We had a really good connection with Adera, who was our favorite. She's so kind and always smiled and cared if we need anything. It's a warm tradition for her ending the conversation with "mi niño". If the management consider a investment to upgrade the facilities to be 4-5 star hotel, I believe people will be so willing to pay for it. I believe in the potential!Guest review byYiweiDenmark
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,460 reviewsThe property is very homely with lovely views overlooking the valley. We enjoyed staying here for 5 nights during our recent visit in February. The pool over the road is quiet with ample space for sunbathing and the pool provides a soothing swim or dip if desired. The in house breakfast is very convenient particularly if you don’t have a car which was the case for us. The nearest supermarket is a 5 minute walk which gets fresh bread every morning. The nearby restaurant is very good along with one or two others we tried towards the sea. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly too. I highly recommend staying at the apartments and will certainly book again in the future.Guest review byMartinIreland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 349 reviewsVery spacious apartment (207) on second floor. Well-equipped kitchen in large sitting & dining area with large balcony facing North overlooking a car park with views to the central mountain area. Beautifully designed building with lovely marble flooring & balustrades throughout. Common areas enhanced by luscious green plants and hanging ivies. Massive rooftop area on third floor with lots of sun loungers, double beds, umbrellas & tables. It also has a very nice pool, which is uncommon for hotels in this town. The building overlooks the port and beaches, with excellent nearby restaurants, plus shops and cafés. Two nearby black sand beaches with free sunshades.Guest review byChristopherSpain
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 290 reviewsI immediately fell in love with this place. The apartment had a sea view and, on a clear day, I could even see the Teide in the distance. The room was spacious and the kitchen had all the necessary utensils. The beds were comfortable, too. I didn't have a car, so it was a bit of a walk from the bus station, but doable. I actually liked that it was in a quiet location. My favorite part was the view. I could have stayed for at least a month. I highly recommend this place!Guest review byRoxanaItaly
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 83 reviewsBreakfast was amazing, too many options, high quality food, great service The pool, though smaller than I'd wish, was lovely, cooling after an hour of sunbathing, heating up through the day Waste bins were clearly labelled but I had no idea what to do with metal containers, there wasn't a bin for them - but the daily cleaning/housemaid service removed any from my room, so there was no problemGuest review byJoannaUnited Kingdom

The garden and pool area is beautiful, very relaxing. Excellent breakfast. Dinner was so-so, good service but could have tasted more. We found nice small restaurants in the city which is just a few mins walk away. Would certainly stay here again.Guest review byStaffanSweden

Valle Gran Rey is very beautiful situated at the bottom of a very steep valley with spectacular scenery. You have to be able to cope with very windy mountain roads with sheer drops! It is dominated with German travellers and has multiple good restaurants at very friendly prices.Guest review byRosemary - 10.0
Great for walking around and getting good views.
Great for walking around and getting good views. A viewpoint near the parador is worth the uphill walk. Also good to explore the beach and viewpoint near the port. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants along side streets and near the main square. Great atmosphere during the Three Kings/Epiphany festival.Guest review byKathryn - 10.0

It’s a beautiful village nestled in the mountains. It’s close to the national park and if you like hiking then it’s ideal but I’d suggest having a car as the local bus timetable is very confusing and not very frequent.Guest review byAnitaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

It is a quiet and appealing little town with a good choice of places to eat and drink. A good baker and three supermarkets to choose from. Buses (cheap) and the excellent Fred Olsen Express ferry service can be used to travel to San Sebastian, Valle Gran Rey, etc.Guest review bygreatwhiterabbitUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lovely little village out of the way!
Lovely little village out of the way! 25min drive down from the main road with spectacular views on the way down! Not a lot in the village but a small beach but if you want tranquility it's perfect! Lovely restaurant on the beach that serves the most amazing fish and seafood as very reasonable prices!Guest review bymorenaSpain - 8.0
Nice small village famous for pottery.
Nice small village famous for pottery. Green part of the island with the downside that it is often foggy or inside clouds. I liked the character of the village and had a great view from above. Depending on your destinations few places are near and for going to the east and south-east it’s up to 1 hour drive - but La Gomera is so beautiful that every road trip is already an adventure and a sightseeing trip. Next mini-market is just a few minutes by car.Guest review byMarkusAustria - 8.0
The scenery is outstandingly breath taking.
The scenery is outstandingly breath taking. The ride into the area and leaving is awesome. there are some nice places to eat and mini market shops . We chose a restaurant Esperanto by the Port , it is owned by a couple from Germany. The husband being the Chef. The food was excellent and highly recommend a visit.Guest review byGarySpain - 10.0

We went to watch the start of this years Atlantic Row as I had taken part in it 2 years ago and we were seeing the crew who bought our boat off on their challenge. As always San Sebastian was delightful and having been there a few times over the years we were able to visit all of our old haunts just before Christmas which was excellent.Guest review byGarreth MurrellUnited Kingdom - 2.0
