I plan to bring friends here again and will be recommending it to others. I would really recommend getting the dinner & breakfast deal, the buffet breakfast was perfect- with eggs of our choice, lots of fresh fruit, cheeses, meat, juices & pastries. The dinner was fantastic. The views from the lake facing rooms are amazing. The staff were lovely. In winter it was quiet so we had the spa all to ourselves. Cute town in the "foothills" of the Guadarramas.
Cute town in the "foothills" of the Guadarramas. We did a nice hike our first day there. The second day we went up to the ski area several miles to the north and did a snowshoe hike. There were plenty of skiers up there as well (it was March).The town had all kinds of nice bodegas and restaurants, no tourist stores since it is kind of off the beaten track. The village was pleasant to look at but restaurants and shops were closed on the Monday. Did not visit village after Monday. It would be easy to get around village but no point as it was raining all the time we were in the area and the temperature was as low as 15 degrees.
