- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,280 reviewsOur stay at the other hotel was fantastic. The gentleman at the reception was very kind to welcome us even though we arrived later than the check-in time due to a travel delay. The room itself was stunning, with plenty of space, impeccable cleanliness, and a stunning view. The bathroom was also spacious and elegantly designed. Moreover, the hotel's location was perfect for us as it was only a 2-minute walk away from the sanctuary, making it convenient for us to explore the surrounding areas. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable experience.Guest review byAndreiaPortugal
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 70 reviewsThis place is a gem. Warm welcome in a very intriguing location . Comfy beds, good bathroom, charming building. EXCEPTIONAL food in the restaurant. The set menu for folks staying in the hotel was 28€ per person and worth every penny. It was truly one of the best meals I've had in northern Spain and I think the mushroom omelette was the best omelette I've ever had in my life. The sheep's milk cuajada was incredible too! The sanctuary of Arantzazu is fascinating, a deeply spiritual version of mid century modern architecture. I would have liked to check out some of the hikes in the area too but the weather was not great.Guest review byMarthaCanada
- From £71.38 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 570 reviewsI was travelling for leisure with my partner and our baby. Hotel Sindika it's situated in the small village of Aranzazu. The facilities are very clean. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and with a beautiful view over the mountains. A cot was provided for our baby. From the hotel, you can take a lot of hikes. You can have lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food was good and at a great price. There are also other restaurants in the village. We enjoyed our stay and we would recommend it without any doubt. Thanks!Guest review byClaraSpain
- From £89.53 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 740 reviewsThe surrounding areas are out of this world with so much to explore. The host is so friendly and accommodating - he also makes the bests omelettes we’ve ever eaten. The room felt like home and having a hot tub in the room may not be a necessity but was totally welcome after a long day hiking.Guest review byLucyUnited Kingdom

I didn’t actually visit Oñati this time, instead I selected to go there for the hiking opportunities that offer a really nice experience. I did the “PR-GI 3006 La Senda de Urbia” and I really recommend it as a half day activity. Great views and lots of horses and other animals along the way. Another activity I’m happy to recommend is the guided tour of the Arrikrutz cave. The caves are impressive on their own and the guide really added another dimension of interest with context and explanations.Guest review byAndreBelgium - 10.0

The village Escoriaza is not so special, but it is very well located in the beautiful mountains of Baskenland, near to picturesque villages and cities, not too far away from Vitoria-Gasteiz and its airport and at the highway Madrid - FranceGuest review bygeertBelgium - 8.0
It's beautiful village, surrounding by mountains.
It's beautiful village, surrounding by mountains. We didnt realize that the village has old and important histories for the surrounding. It has an oldest university and very beautiful in Basque Country.Guest review byLifter TuaNetherlands - 8.0
On the town itself, I did not find all that much to see.
On the town itself, I did not find all that much to see. Besides the old university building and the town square, I found some old facades on the streets off the main square. The surroundings are the reason I will be back - the hills and the wooded areas are really nice.Guest review byAndreBelgium
