The view is spectacular at night as well, with all the mist and fog that rise from the river. The hotel sauna and swimming pool are really great for relaxing after a day of activities in the extremely cold weather. The breakfast is great, with so much local food and variety. Summer trip to Rovaniemi: Lapland was in a heat wave which held us back a bit as it was rather humid. We enjoyed Arktikum very much, went swimming in the river, walked in the Arctic Gardens and explored the town centre. We planned some hiking but it was hotter than we expected. We went by car just to see the road and environment to Rovaniemi. We were not disappointed. Along the way met other international tourists like that of Poland, France, Spain, Germany.
