A charming town.
A charming town. You can walk around to all the nice places so you don't need a car unless you plan to go to the countryside or visit Colmar. I'd recommend walking to the Petite France section. The homes along the small waterways are picturesque! Next, I'd visit the wine cellar at the hospital, yes! it's at the hospital. They have the worlds oldest white wine in existence. Made in 1472. The tour is free to enter and 3 euros for the audio tour which was well worth it. The wine is very affordable and all proceeds go to the hospital. Finally, I'd recommend visiting the Notre Dame Cathedral. Not only is it beautiful, if you spend the 8 euros to go to the top, you will get a beautiful view of the city. When you get done, the little train that has the tour of the city stops right there at the cathedral. Its's 8 euros as well and well worth it. Strasbourg was wonderful. Bonne Journee!Guest review byCUnited States - 10.0
Very clean and safe.
Very clean and safe. Perfect location for a short Elzas discovery trip. Highway to Straatsburg and Colmar/Mulhouse is only 5 mins away. On the other hand it's also a very short drive to get up in the mountains.Guest review byKarmenBelgium - 6.0
The village is quite sweet but small.
The village is quite sweet but small. There are a few restaurant choices but they are expensive and the quality didn’t blow us away. It’s ok as a base for exploring the area but maybe not to stay. Best place we ate was Auberge le Biblenhof which I would highly recommendGuest review byHazel & friendsGermany - 10.0
Small very pretty Alsace town centre.
Small very pretty Alsace town centre. Good shopping, reasonable range of eating choices. Short drive from our hotel. Short walk between town centre and the railway station giving us access to other places such as Strasbourg when we chose to not drive.Guest review byvaughnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay, especially for the price. The rooms were nice, clean, and spacious enough, with the added convenience of parking and being super close to the tram. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! Even though we expected to share a bathroom, we were happy to find a shower in the room, only the toilets were shared.Guest review byManuelaSpain - 10.0

The village was lovely and picturesque, we stayed for a family wedding and visited the surrounding villages which were all lovely. The locals were Friendly and the food was delicious. The owner of the property was very helpful, we had a couple of requests such as a kettle and batteries for the remote, which she delivered promptly for us. The Wi-Fi signal was intermittent, although we did manage to use Netflix once or twice. The apartment was very cozy, close to the shops. There was some noise from above during the day but quiet at night. All in all the apartment was cozy, well equipped and had a lovely feel about it, I would recommend it if you are travelling to Alsace, not too far from Strasbourg either.Guest review byHelenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Visit the Shopping Promenade at night it's an absolute must. Has been a very nice surprise. We went out for a quick dinner after a day in Strasbourg and we found ourselves enjoying in karting, videogames, bowling and VR experiences for hours.Guest review byCapitan BausiloLuxembourg - 8.0
Very quiet and convenient location to visit Strasbourg.
Very quiet and convenient location to visit Strasbourg. A tramway goes from Illkirch-Graffenstaden to the centre of Strasbourg and runs every 15 minutes until midnight. Very nice and pleasant dinner at the Auberge du Cerf, including an excellent tartes flambéeGuest review byRobertaItaly - 10.0

Strasbourg is an absolute gem — a city that feels like a fairytale. My favorite spot was definitely La Petite France with its canals, cobblestone streets, and half-timbered houses — it’s so charming to walk around, especially at sunset. The Strasbourg Cathedral was another highlight: the astronomical clock fascinated both adults and kids, and climbing to the top for panoramic city views was unforgettable. We ate mostly local Alsatian food, and I highly recommend trying tarte flambée (a kind of thin pizza with cream, onions, and bacon) — it quickly became a family favorite. The traditional brasseries in the old town were great, and we also found cozy cafés perfect for a quick bite or hot chocolate. Getting around Strasbourg was very easy. The historic center is very walkable, and we also used the tram system, which is clean and efficient. Boat tours along the canals are another fun way to explore the city without too much walking — especially handy with little ones. For families with young children, Strasbourg is surprisingly accommodating. Besides the cathedral and boat tours, the kids loved spotting storks at Parc de l’Orangerie, which also has a small zoo and playgrounds. The Christmas markets (if visiting in December) are magical for children, with twinkling lights, decorations, and plenty of sweet treats. Overall, Strasbourg has a perfect balance of history, culture, and family-friendly fun. I’d recommend 2–3 days to soak it all in without rushing.Guest review bySwapnaIndia - 10.0

A great place for long or short walks (try the walk by the river up to Otrott), and the best for food. Visit the thursday Market and the organic market on Saturday. Easy to get to Strasbourg by bus or train.Guest review byIanUnited Kingdom
