- From £119.19 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 474 reviewsThe building is full of character and in a great location in the heart of the Gorges du Tarn. The village of La Malène is quiet and small but has everything you want. I recommend a boat trip with the Bataliers through the most picturesque part of the gorge, walking along the river track on the other side of the river and walking up to the chapel and Virgin statue that overlooks the town. The apartment has plenty of room and a well equipped kitchenette for making breakfast, lunch, and light meals. We also had a lovely meal in the on-site restaurant. The bakery a few doors up the side road sells fresh bread daily and stocks fruit, pastries, quiches (great for a light dinner), and a small selection of general items, regional specialities and wine.Guest review byBrizzyDiAustralia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 98 reviewsThe property was beautifully set in the gorges du tarn mountains, every time you looked out in the morning, it was such a delight. With birds of prey landing into their nests in the cliffs edge and little swifts and bats swooping and circling near too. It was a wildlife hot spot! A place to recharge and unwind from the busyness that we are so used to. A place we will never forget and will definitely come back to next yearGuest review byLeearnaUnited Kingdom

Staff who we met were great, good breakfast and coffees. A very pretty and historic village in a stunning location.
A very pretty and historic village in a stunning location. Although we visited out of season it was still quite busy and we imagine that in high season it might be very overcrowded and not very pleasant. We struggled to find a good choice of restaurant for our one evening meal there as it seemed there were several restaurants at 'Ground level' but with rather expensive menus for average food as you would expect in a tourist town. We eventually chose a Creperie which had good and generous portions at a fair price. However the location was not easy for us as retirees as it was at the top of the village and required a difficult climb and descent on either cobblestone or quite slippery steps. Fine for young people but not so good for the elderly. We can recommend an outing to La Malene - the next village for a trip on the Battalieres of the Tarn who provided a wonderful small boat trip down the river which was unforgetable.Guest review byRobertFrance
