The apartment was clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a self catering stay. The resort itself is a charming and picturesque savoyard village. It has several restaurants and bars, a small supermarket, shops selling local cheeses and meat and a delightful bakery. You can order your bread and pastries from reception the night before for delivery the following morning. We especially loved the swimming pool which is open daily from 4-8 pm and the spa which is bookable for the exclusive use of your apartment. The accommodation is at the foot of the gondola and also has a hire shop underneath the property with discounted rates for residents (the property will arrange your lift passes in advance, again with a discount). We can also recommend the on site restaurant which does excellent pizza and pasta. Overall, a wonderful stay in a gem of a place, we loved it so much that we plan to return next year with friends.Guest review byEliseUnited Kingdom

The situation of the rooms that we were given on one floor and close together was ideal. It meant any noise didn’t annoy other guests. The size of the 6/8 bed room meant we could all eat together in the evening. The swimming pool/spa area made the holiday extra special. Bread etc can be delivered to your door. Great skiing for whole family at all levels. We were on a budget so cooked meals at our apartment and took a packed lunch. This worked well as weather was good for lunches. Definitely consider this small, traditional French village! It had everything we needed - wonderful restaurants and bars (with excellent staff), shops, a swimming pool and the most wonderful surroundings! The ski lift was excellent, ski hire convenient and we had all we needed for skiing. A car is probably a must - it really helps to have a car to reach the lift or drop people off for the lift, but there is a shuttle bus (although we didn't use it) which runs throughout the day. Belle Plagne is a relatively compact resort with easy access to ski hire, lift passes, shops and restaurants. Ski lifts are conveniently located although they are a little out-dated and slow compared to some other ski resorts.
