- From £70.18 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 367 reviewsWOW i dont know how to explain how amazed we were when we arrived. We paid €200 for 2 nights for a room for 4 people (sadly one couldnt come last minute). When we arrived they had upgraded us to a 7 bedded room. It was like a 2 bedroomed house, stairs and all. Modern but cosy and a good chalet type vibe in a hotel. For what we paid we thought we were going to a dive, but it was just a quick break, not a holiday as such. So when we arrived we were amazed. The facilities and services offered ranged from kids clubs, to sauna, restaurant, bar and much more. The staff were very friendly and helpful. As a wheelchair user it was perfect. I ended up leaving it in the van the duration as it didnt require a charge, but it would not have been an issue. This was a mini break before iur ski holiday in Feb. But actually we would happily have the 10 day ski holiday there. We were sad to leave today. The village is lovely and very festive. As a wheelchair user I was astonished to find a village in the alps to be the most accessible place I have been to (my wheelchair is fine on snow as I upgraded my wheels). Everyone was so friendly.Guest review byJoUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 300 reviewsThe decoration of the whole hotel is traditional which adds a lot of charm to your stay. The room was big and clean. The staff was particularly nice and happy to help you with anything. The pool and spa are medium but nice enough for a nice relaxing moment after a sporty day. The location is perfect, in the small and charming Samoëns village, very close to hiking an skiing places - and with nice cafes, restaurants and typical cheese & bread shops!Guest review byDavidFrance
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 19 reviewsThe staff are very friendly and exceptionally patient. They are placed under immense pressure on a Saturday afternoon during change over day, which they deal with very well. Why aren't check-in times staggered instead of everyone coming back at 5pm. It's manic for about 3 hours. The location is great and great for the ski-lifts at Flaine. The Spa facilities are excellent, and a refreshing relax post the slopes.Guest review byJamesUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 79 reviewsWould recommend CGH. Close to town / close to the Grand Massif lift. Very good value (at least for when we were there) and great facilities. Staff were friendly. Only comment would be parking should be included in the price, as there is ample underground car parking. Would come again or recommend. Samoens is a lovely small little town that's not too touristy.Guest review byNiallUnited Kingdom
- From £62.38 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.4Good - What previous guests thought, 826 reviewsThe studio apartment was perfect for self-catering meals, as it had a small kitchenette. Bathroom was modern and clean, the terrace had a great view of the mountains and you could hear the water from a nearby creek. The staff were very friendly and accomodating.Guest review byNancyFrance

Gorgeous alpine village, lots of do for families, walkers, cyclists - we were there in the summer. Small enough to be able to walk everywhere with lots of activities. Nice cafes and restaurants. Glorious views all around you, would recommend.Guest review byZoeUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Morillon 1100 is a great place to ski.
Morillon 1100 is a great place to ski. The lifts take you straight to the top of the Grand Massif. This year snow was scarce in 1100 but we have skied through in previous years and it has been snow-sure. Plenty to do for intermediates on short breaks.Guest review byMelanieUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Flaine is excellent for skiing, especially for beginners.
Flaine is excellent for skiing, especially for beginners. It is high so you are relatively guaranteed snow, when lower resorts are still green. Although it is pretty ugly, it is purpose built so everything is well set up for families or beginners to commence their skiing journeyGuest review byDoutramUnited Kingdom - 8.0
beautiful place. far from the city rush.
beautiful place. far from the city rush. A calm, cozy, and serene location. didn't know it is located on the Tour de France tracks, we could see the sign boards while driving towards Sixt. A place right in the middle of the nature.Guest review byAMIT - 8.0
First time in Samoëns and we really enjoyed it.
First time in Samoëns and we really enjoyed it. The village has has a really nioce traditional vibe (Felt like a really small Chamonix) The Free bus is great, although took a couple of days to figure out the quickest colour to get to the lift station. There is a big Carrefore just outside the village as well as a small Sherpa supermarket near the centre. The main negative is how hard it was to eat out. Nearly everywhere we went to was fully booked...you must book your tables ahead of time otherwise you will trail around the village to try and find somewhere to eat. The skiing was great, even with no new snow the pistes were in great condition and there is a wide variety of terrain for all levels, however Le Grand Massif area is very busy, even mid week.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Great family station (Morillon Les Esserts) very safe for young kids as there are no cars. Great people and slope staff. The village at the bottom is quite nice too, with few stores. The slopes are good and the domain is quite large with access to Samoens, Flaine, Sixth, and Les Carroz. The only downside is the Sherpa is closed in Les Esserts, but they managed to open a temporary small shop with all that is needed, and it's well furnished with food, things for the apartments, baby stuff etc.Guest review bySandrineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We have visited Flaine many times over the years, and despite the brutalist concrete architecture we have always felt the resort has a warm and cosy vibe. It is perfect for mixed ability groups, with virtually all the mountain restaurants easy to get to - and it is a good place to learn (several members of our family took to skis or boards for the first time there). The Flaine pistes are pretty easy to navigate (not too much peering at maps and wondering where you are), and if you fancy a change of scenery and some tree-lined runs then if you have the Grand Massif pass you can ski down to Les Carroz or Samoens. The transfer time is perfect too: about 1hr 15 from Geneva so great if you are planning a short break or long weekend.Guest review byMelanieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Samoens is a delightful place, the centre of which is easy and pleasant to walk around. There is a good choice of restaurants and cafes offering a wide range of catering options. Access to the skiing area is easy via the cable car which in turn is serviced by a comprehensive bus service which appears to be completely free.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

An amazing family oriented resort - so many activities for children both young & older around the lake and loads of bike runs for all abilities. Good access to trains in Cluses, 15mins by car. The village is attractive and has the most delicious bakery! Friendly and helpful tourist office.Guest review byJinnyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lovely Ski Resort.
Lovely Ski Resort. Great variety of ski runs and pistes were groomed overnight. We stayed in Flaine Forum at Residence Alhena which was superb with easy access to the pistes. Great restaurants on the mountain as well as at Flaine Forum. Flew to Geneva and transfer time was about 1 Hour and 30 minutes. We prefer short transfers as a family especially when you are travelling with young children.Guest review byKarenUnited Kingdom
