The owners are very friendly, patient, helpful and care about their guests. I have stayed there for a month and tried all types of rooms and all of them have comfortable beds and clean and spacious bathrooms. There is enough parking in the back of the hotel. There are restaurants and bakeries very close by, for all tastes.

Excellent value for money, clean and modern with friendly staff. The hotel is in an excellent location with shops and food options close by. An excellent base to explore the area. We stayed with our dog in a room with sea view and it was truly spectacular! The big and very comfortable room had everything we could wish for, and the location of the hotel is fantastic! Just a 15 minutes relaxed walk to the center around Port Maria, and about 30 minutes coast walk to Pointe Conguel, having great beaches and also delicous food close by. Parking is very easy just in front of the hotel and a lot is reachable in walking distance. The breakfast room with its huge windows facing the cote sauvage is tasteful and comfortable, and the breakfast offers something for every taste, from local speacialities to warm options like bacon and eggs. Leaving this wonderful place made us really sad, and we left with the hope of returning!

It starts with the location overlooking the Sauzon coastline in a beautiful spot in nature, continues with facilities such as amazing rental and storage of bikes, then pool, sauna and jacuzzi all set in beautiful settings with crazy views, up until the food which was a real surprise for a 3* hotel. The vegetarian restaurant is really worth it, their dinners tasty and creative and their breakfast really worth the price, the best I had in years, all homemade and delicious. Great presentation, plenty space, also outdoors. Finally, the staff - both at the hotel and the restaurant were exceptional. Not used to such level of warmth and professionalism in France. Will definitely be back!

The hotel is newly refurbished and the attention to detail shows. It is positioned well on the edge of the town centre with lovely views out over the sea. The beautiful beaches are within walking distance. The evening meal in the restaurant was beautiful. The staff were incredibly attentive but not at all overbearing. We had a problem on our first night and were quickly and efficiently moved to another room without question . The ambience allowed a completely relaxed experience.

Surely the most beautiful hotel on the island in terms of architecture and location? Delightful helpful staff, beautiful interior decor. Even though we hadn't paid the extra for a sea view our room at the back corner looked over the swimming pool to the sea beyond and the light house behind. Free shuttle service to and from ferry was excellent and very easy. Bike hire likewise.

Pretty and extensive medieval centre, very photogenic, lovely shops and eateries. Similarly the port area directly adjacent. If you're going by car the roads and one-way systems are horrible. Head for large car parks rather than try street parking. There are also strange experimental bus lanes that run up the middle of the road and have right of way crossing in front of you. A town and port wander would take a good couple of hours. Buzzes with life in the night.

Auray is a pretty little town and it has a wonderful market on Mondays. One of the best French markets we have been to. There is plenty to explore in the Morbihan (we used the trains a lot as well as our car) We recommend two sights in particular: 1. the megalith stones at Carnac 2. Going inside the submarine at L'Orient

Le Palais is the main town in Belle Ile, which is well named as it is beautiful. It has restaurants, creperies and interesting shops as well as tourist ones. Many people sail here and moor for a night or several. There is a fine 17th century citadel overlooking the town and a little harbour with lots of watch.
