- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,001 reviewsOur car broke down on the way back to England, and we spent 3 unexpected nights at this hotel. The location was perfect for us as near to where our car was towed off the motorway. There were supermarkets nearby and a 15 - 20 minute stroll into the old town, which was lovely. The rooms were clean and very comfortable as well as air conditioned, and the staff were exceptional, they were so friendly and helpful to us and most spoke English, our French is very limited! Breakfast was great & on our last night we had dinner, which was delicious and very reasonable. I could not fault this hotel and would highly recommend it and its staff.Guest review byJudithUnited Kingdom
- From US$91.30 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.5Good - What previous guests thought, 850 reviewsThe location is good. Some of the sites and museums are within walking distance. Easy walking. It takes time walking from the train station to get to the location because out of season there isn't bus service, and taxis are hard to get. The employees and receptionist are helpful and kind. They agreed to look after my luggage untill the time of my train. It is a 5 - 10 minute walk from a supermarket and petrol station for those who need it. There is a good size rack to dry washed clothes. They have washing machines on the premises to use with payment by credit cards.Guest review byJudith CelinaFrance
- From US$174.99 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 59 reviewsThis was a lovely place to stay for our family of 12. The pool was a bonus for our mid teen kids and there was plenty of space for all of us over 2 cottages. It was about a 8-10 minute drive to the old part of Sarlat and was a great base to explore the other attractions of the area. This is such a beautiful part of France. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a fabulous few days away. Would definitely recommend.Guest review byMelindaAustralia
- From US$120.56 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 144 reviewsWhilst the Hotel is in two parts, the breakfast taken by the pool area and dinner in the main building, so there is a short walk between the two, choose what rooms you book. Best part was the staff, both reception and waiting staff, the grounds and peacefulness of the village and area. BUT the chef is exceptional, we ate both a la carte and demi pension and the choice and quality of the food was superb.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom

2 nights is plenty. Architecture is not to be missed.
2 nights is plenty. Architecture is not to be missed. Crowds on market day are crazy unless you go to first thing in morning. The €5 panoramic glass lift is worth it. If you’re vegetarian or like plenty of salad/ vegetables you will struggle with all the restaurant menus foie gras and duck feature heavily.Guest review byIslayUnited Kingdom - 10.0

You need a car, but parking isn‘t easy. Unfortunately, I wasn‘t prepared, so I had to scout things out. Because my days were filled, I often left too early or came back too late to enjoy all the opportunities available.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

This touristy village is a great base for a holiday in the Dordogne area of France. It's the world centre of prehistory, complete with the excellent National Museum of Prehistory and loads of caves and rock shelters nearby. The incredible cave paintings at Lascaux and the medieval town of Sarlat (amazing market on Saturday mornings) are a short drive away. There are loads of great restaurants in the village, and also a weekly evening food market on Fridays in the summer, with fabulous food stalls (top-quality take away dinner!). We didn't have a car during our holiday - we travelled there and back to Les Eyzies by train, and made full use of the local bus services 337 and 339 which run a very cheap summer service for tourists to Sarlat and Lascaux. Canoeing on the River Vezere is a must - we used Canoe 24, a 5-minute walk from our hotel.Guest review byDianaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Apart from Beynac-et-Cazenac is so beautiful and interesting place to stay there are lots of other things to do and see, such as visiting castles, hiking, taking a boat on a river, canoeing and just visiting other nice little towns and villages with an excellent views! You can easily stay there 2 weeks and it’s still may not be enough to visit all spectacular places around.Guest review byShevchenko AlexanderRussia - 8.0

Le Bugue is located in the centre of the Périgord and is very good as a base for numerous excursions and activities. The night markets with their numerous market stalls and the musical accompaniment is one of the biggest and most beautiful in the area - simply wonderful.Guest review byAllPie71Switzerland - 8.0

Sarlat-la-Canéda is a beautiful medieval town in a stunning region, full of charm and great bakeries. The area is packed with things to do—like visiting Domme, Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, and the scenic gardens of Marqueyssac. There are plenty of restaurants, though it’s not ideal for vegans or vegetarians—this is Périgord, home of foie gras and magret de canard.Guest review byFredericNetherlands - 10.0

Montignac is a pretty small town with a good range of resto’s and bars, as well as a small supermarket. It’s very attractive with some preserved buildings from the late medieval period and a wide range from the 17th to 19th century. There’s a canoe hire place in the town too. Overall a well rounded small town.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom
