We had a print of Monpazier from over 25 years ago and promised one day to visit. It's remained unchanged and was beautiful. Highly recommend having a wine or other drink in the market square and watch the world go by at a pace so much slower than here in England.Guest review byRaymondUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Eymet is a lovely little village full of character and charm. It's the perfect location for a short little get away over a weekend, or as a base to explore the surrounding areas of the Dordogne. It's well worth hiring a care and visiting some of the picturesque villages and towns in the Dordogne valley. Also worth visiting nearby Bergerac. Eymet has a great variety of restaurants and bars. You won't go hungry thats for sure. And on certain days of the week there are markets which are great to take a look around. The locals are very welcoming and friendly. A recommended place to visit.Guest review byAaronUnited Kingdom - 8.0
We liked the location, it was extremely quiet.
We liked the location, it was extremely quiet. A beautiful private pool and not far from some great restaurants, and a great golf course nearby. A night market in Eymet on a Tuesday evening was a bonus, with some great restaurants. We also attended a wine tasting with our hosts which was great. Also English is spoken fluently an added bonus.Guest review byDiane - 10.0

Sainte-Foy-la-Grande is a very interesting old town, quite sleepy and not many restaurants and bars. No night life. Big Saturday market. Very convenient for travelling to Bergerac or Bordeaux by car - and there is a train station. Also very close to many vineyards which are open for visits and wine tasting. Lovely region and very easy to find your way around. Close to Bergerac airport, which was also quick and easy, as it is small - took no time to pick up our hire car.Guest review bymags francisUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Lalinde is ideally situated for exploring into the Dordogne and up to Perigord region. Brantome is well worth a visit to the north. There are a couple of great restaurants, Le P'tit Loup and All'Olivo in particular. However, Sunday and Monday evenings it all closes up a bit so you need to be able to cater for yourself for food and drink. Lalinde is on the flat so easy to get around for those with any mobility issues.Guest review byChrisUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Gorgeous old town - amazing food and restaurants and the beaches on the river made it like a beach holiday in the middle of the countryside. Close commute to lots of things to see and do and the food!!!! Le Bugue is a great little town a few miles away with restaurants and a big supermarket for stocking up - a bit further afield there are some great places to see - Sarlat is worth a visit and there are loads of things to do.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I thought this might have been a bit too far from other sites we wanted to visit, but it was perfect. Less touristy and much more charming. We spent a day in the village square enjoying shopping and learning about the history. Several great restaraunts( Michelin star)and cafes to choose from. So much more relaxing and enjoyable. Our favorite place and would gladly return.Guest review byMargueriteUnited States
