- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 97 reviewsFantastic location on the side of the mountain. The accommodation is a large block of apartments, it was very quiet with fantastic views of the valley from the balcony and windows. The restaurant buffet for breakfast and dinner had a lot of options, well cooked food, the cod was especially good with very good texture and taste. I was only staying for one night but had I done my homework properly I would have stayed longer and enjoyed the walks that start in the village. There is plenty of parking available outside, there are a couple of shops in the village and you can rent bicycles too. Overall I really enjoyed staying here, more than I thought I would. The peace and quiet and the lovely food and easy access was good. The kitchen in the apartment had lots of utensils, kettle, microwave and hob and pans and saucepans, plenty to keep you going for a couple of weeks if need be. The lady on reception was very helpful, many thanks to her I will be returning.Guest review byStephenUnited Kingdom
- From £117.85 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 303 reviewsWe arrived frazzled and very late at night. The owner was absolutely amazing, could not have treated us better. He prepared a meal and brought it to the room and we were so grateful! France can be a bit biased to tourists, but this gentlemen treated us like we were family. The room was wonderful, the view beautiful and the dog adorable. Breakfast was substantial with eggs, cheese, pastries, fruit , yoghurt etc. We love you Hôtel & Spa La Ferme de l'Izoard and would happily stay there again for any length of time.Guest review byJoannaAustralia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 440 reviewsGreat spacious apartment, with everything you need. Ski out, but unfortunately not in due to going at the start of the session, nice pool and spa facilities. The apartment had great views, bath with loads of hot water, firm bed, loads of storage, great warm boot room, 2 min walk to the ski hire shop who where amazing ( Skiset Au Chalet du Guide), and 5min walk from the centra, and a great sledging hill. Staff at the apartments were friendly, accommodating and happy to help with anything.Guest review byJoUnited Kingdom

The proximity to the centre/slopes/chair lift is perfect. The sofa bed was clean and comfortable. All the amenities in the kitchen were great and the water was lovely and hot. It is a great place for families/friends to stay. I would say 6 would be a squeeze but 5 of us was perfect.Guest review byCarolineFrance

Amazing location.
Amazing location. The owners and staff were friendly, professional, and answered all our questions. The bar was great, and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we've had. I hope we can go back to Briancon in the near future because it's so beautiful, and we'll certainly stay here.Guest review byJBDRHDUnited States - 6.0

You need a reason to be in Barcelonnette. It is not a destination in itself. But good selection of restaurants and pedestrian fares. If you are motorcycling or bicycling, what a great launching point!Guest review byWarrenUnited States - 10.0

This village has quite a few decent restaurants, also cafes and creperies. There's a large public parking area. The hotel was close to everything. No need to use a car. We were there for 4 nights, which was just about right for us. The pistes are all mostly intermediate and blue runs. So fun for me as I like to ski just cruising along stopping at mountain restaurants. The restaurant at the top of the Aravet Gondola has a great menu and entertainment. And perfectly placed for those who partied too much and didn't want to ski down.Guest review bySVSusanUnited States - 8.0

Jausiers is on the crossroads of two slightly different routes of the Route des Grandes Alpes: one via Col de la Bonette and another one via Col de la Cayolle. The Route is magnificent. Would strongly recommend to include in the Route the Gorges du Cians and, especially, Gorges de Daluis.Guest review byMykolaBelgium - 8.0
Les Orres 1800 is a nice little village, with many families...
Les Orres 1800 is a nice little village, with many families with kids visiting in Summer. That is the period, when we rented, I do not know anything about the winter. It is nice for hiking, cross-country biking/ VTT, and if you drive the 25 minutes down the mountain, you have access to the great lake of Serres Poncon, where you can swim, rent boats, etc. Enough for a week of fun. At most places where you can take the lift, there are restaurants, where you can sit outside and enjoy lunch or dinner. Our favorite place was Le Refuge Etoile, where they have excellent food and serviceGuest review byPeterFrance - 2.0

The location is very good, however the apartment is very dated, some of the appliances do not work and the bath has no shower screen or curtain, I have stayed in Isola over the last 10 years and this was the worst I have stayed in, it is also very expensive but because of demand and location you have to pay the price. I feel that asking for an extra cleaning charge when you are paying 250 euros per night is just ridiculous. The bedding and towel charge is ok as all the apartments in Isola do this but I still think this is simply grabbing a bit more and made me dislike the approach from the owners , we brought our own in the end. At the end of the day, if you want to stay in the main part of Isola , this is what you have to put up with. The skiing was great !Guest review byDemetri LidderdaleUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It is the best ski resort ever.
It is the best ski resort ever. We have been traveling to different ski resorts in Europe for the last 15 years and this place amazed us with slopes variety. The skiing was wonderful, we did not search for “good slope or best root” like we usually did on previous resorts because there are so many of them that could be called the best :). Thermal SPA is an excellent bonus!Guest review byOlgaUkraine - 10.0
The town itself is very small and well served.
The town itself is very small and well served. Quite but that might have been the time of the year. Good access and near good amenities. The ski runs are class but the off piste is what stands out. Lifts are good and restaurants although some very basic aren’t badGuest review byZammitIreland - 8.0

Great range of restaurants and shops with normal town prices rather than ski station premium rates. If you want rowdy aprez ski then Briancon is not the place. Bus service up and down the ski valley is reliable in morning and afternoon but less so during lunchtime and evening.Guest review byChris WilliamsUnited Kingdom - 10.0
This is a great resort for families.
This is a great resort for families. Access to the slopes is very easy (a few steps away) and a free bus will take you to any of the neighbouring ski lifts. We were particularly impressed by the Pontillas gondola (five minutes on the bus) as it takes you up very high to an incredible, long and wide green run which is right next to some blues. This was perfect for us as one of us is a beginner but the other two were ready for something a bit more adventurous. It is great to see such a great green run so high up. If there are any issues with snow down the bottom of the mountains, it tends to be the greens that suffer. The Pontillas is brand new so doesn't yet have a restaurant or facilities up there but we were warned in advance so it wasn't a problem. There is a lovely little restaurant at the bottom, called Chalet du Lac. Beginners can purchase a debutant ticket for 18 Euros which gets you up there for as long as you want and then back again. We found all the ski staff to be very polite and friendly which was lovely after experiencing unpleasantness in Bulgaria. Being a smaller town, we also loved how quiet it was. We barely queued at all while we were there.Guest review byNatalie
