FAQs about hotels in Var
Sunny Greetings from Sandy Beaches
Part of the French Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, the Var is famous for its sunny sea resorts, great wine and Romanesque and medieval architecture. With picturesque landscape, plenty of sunshine hours and delicious cuisine, this Mediterranean region is a top tourist destination.
Var’s capital, Toulon, is France’s 2nd-largest naval port and a city on the rise. After years of neglect, it is now thriving with nightlife, undergoing vast revitalisation processes and offering great transport connections. West of Toulon there are popular towns of Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer with popular beaches and Bandol, famous for its exquisite wine.
To the east of the capital lies the most famous resort in Var, Saint-Tropez, filled with cafés, white yachts and wealthy tourists. Most of its sandy beaches offer watersports activities and some are very popular among naturists.
North of Saint-Tropez there is another great beach destination, Sainte-Maxime, where not only can you enjoy jet-skiing and sunbathing, but also play a round or 2 of golf on one of the 8 golf courses in the village’s area.
Whether you’re travelling with just beach relaxation on your mind or looking for a more active holiday with attending local farmer markets and admiring the remains of buildings from the past long gone, visit Booking.com and check out its special offers for boutique, luxury and cosy hotels.

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.5Good - What previous guests thought, 106 reviewsThe stay from start to finish was simply exceptional. The number of activities for both children and adults was extremely impressive. The staff, well, I can't speak highly enough of them! They were so helpful, kind, caring, fun and showed genuine care to all guests. The food in both the restaurant and beach bar were absolutely outstanding. The drink choices and the bar were also brilliant. I feel that it was all very reasonably priced too. The accommodation couldn't have been any better. It felt like a home away from home! The pool is amazing, the facilities are amazing, everything was so clean and tidy, and it was amazing location (with the beach being only a few mins walk away from reception). (We are a family of 3, travelling from the UK, with a 3 year old). I can't speak highly enough of this place, absolute 10/10!Guest review byAbbyUnited Kingdom
- From £498.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 359 reviewsThe location is just beautiful with great views of the sea and beach on your doorstep. Great food across all parts of the hotel, breakfast, main restaurant for dinner and a choice of the pool bar or beach restaurant for lunch. The team are very welcoming and attentive with a great eye on personal service. Wonderful to also see the hotel manager Stephenie meeting and greeting everyone on a daily basis across the day. The rooms and terrace make the most of the location and full markers for a comfortable, spacious bed with quality linen too.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom

We Didn’t like Toulon. Large, busy place.
We Didn’t like Toulon. Large, busy place. The main town wasn’t nice and not somewhere I would want to walk around. Beaches were very average - dusty shingle rather than sand. I wouldn’t return or recommend. We included the visit in a stopover.Guest review bySarahUnited Kingdom - 2.0
The Horus Hotel screwed us all.
The Horus Hotel screwed us all. We paid via booking.com but the Hotel denied any record and said they didn't have enough rooms for our party, yet they accepted other un-booked guests. Three of us had to share 1 room. We then had to pay again! Sort it out booking.com as so far you have entirely failed to respond!Guest review byBrianUnited Kingdom - 8.0

there are no 5star hotel groups there.. no Mario's or sheratons or Hiltons ? wonder why ?? the hotels are overpriced for the value we get. But the city is lovely and a very nice place to visit. Ie. the Breakfast place where we stay - the older generation with old mentality are Races and Rude, but the new younger generation are very nice and polite. I thin the older ones have their pains in the Ass..s to worryGuest review byRajuHong Kong - 10.0

Hyeres is beautiful like with a touch of Saint Tropez but way more peaceful. The people are nice and kind-very helpful. There are so many beach to chooce from. The transfortation is efficient enough. My favorite spot is the Port Saint Pierre- where you can dine by the port. I stayed in Ibis Budget hotel which is very close to the city center. Also the weather is nice.Guest review byMarvinPhilippines - 10.0

Great market. Excellent butches. Good train links to other towns on the coast. Ferry well worth using to Saint Tropez. Taxis helpful and reasonably priced. The town, beach and services are lovely, nice to walk round. Good shopping too.Guest review byAlisonUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It's simply wonderful.
It's simply wonderful. The town is just the right size, not too big yet not too small. All the facilities are within walking distance. There are lots of bars, reataurants and shops, including supermarkets. The beach is great, too. It's not overcrowded. The prices in some eatieries might seem too high, but it's possible to find some affordable places.Guest review byZygmuntPoland - 10.0

It is always a joy staying in La Seyne-sur-Mer. Were also like to take the water taxi into the main town which have great shops and choice of many good restaurants. We would recommend it to anyone who has an overnight stop before getting on Corsica Ferriers.Guest review byChristopherUnited Kingdom - 10.0
This may be the "family spot" of the Cote d"Azur.
This may be the "family spot" of the Cote d"Azur. There were lots of families with children, ranging from infants to teens. Plenty of couples as well, ranging from twenty-somethings to octogenarians. Lots of stores, restaurants, and scenery all with a very classy feel. The beach is the main attraction, and the water is clear, and cool. The nearly constant breeze and cool water provide relief from the fairly intense sun.Guest review bySmith - 10.0

Great town with a lovely beach, the port was great and there was a lot of activities nearby which we didn’t get to try.
