Lovely, quiet village with plenty of cafes, restaurants and pubs. Delightful flowerpot characters all around the village with a trail that you can follow. Great location for the Yorkshire peaks and beautiful countryside.Guest review byPamUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Clapham is a beautiful and tranquil village, perfect for anyone looking to escape the city life. Surrounded by hills, scenic walking trails, and lush greenery, it offers a refreshing connection to nature that’s hard to find elsewhere. The village itself has a charming, timeless feel with stone cottages, a gentle stream running through the centre, and a welcoming community atmosphere. It's also a great base for exploring nearby natural attractions like Ingleborough Cave and Gaping Gill, making it a popular spot for hikers and nature lovers.Guest review byBlood7WaysUnited Arab Emirates - 10.0
A lovely village setting which encouraged peaceful vibes.
A lovely village setting which encouraged peaceful vibes. The well cared for nature of the village showed its intent. The Waddington arms was a late booking by us and proved way beyond our expectations. Great food especially the local dishes and a roaring fire to boot. The church was worth the visit as saw 3 sets of stained glass dedicated to women which is most unusual! Loved the local history readily available.Guest review byJean MacUnited Kingdom - 6.0
It was a place to stay not a place to visit!
It was a place to stay not a place to visit! Its location was good. It has a railway station for those who could not drive there but you really need a car to get out of the village to visit more scenic areas.Guest review byMargaretUnited Kingdom - 4.0

We should have booked somewhere else after working out the windows didn’t lock but gave the hosts the opportunity to resolve. They didn’t bother and I doubt it’s resolved now. New windows are really needed to resolve the issues. The accommodation was lovely and clean and beds were comfortable decor lovely and kitchen fully fitted out. It’s just a shame the windows didn’t lock and it faces into a car park. View was non existent. Wouldn’t stay again, was so tired when leaving because couldn’t sleep properly.Guest review byLisaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Location of the lodge is ideal for exploring the beauty of the Ribble Valley and a run up Pendle Hill. The lodge is surrounded by lakes which are good for fishing or just watching and feeding ducks. Edmonton Lodge is spacious, tastefully decorated and well equipped.Guest review bySharonUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The lodge is immaculately presented, equipped with everything you need for a short break. It is obvious that the owners take great pride in their property and this is reflected in the quality of the little extras they provide, hand lotion, luxury towels, coffee maker , candles etc. It's location is 2 minutes walk from the main reception which houses a fantastic indoor heated pool and a bar which has separate areas for family, Sky etc. It's a perfect place for a short stay. We had our 2 daughters with us (age 8 & 10) who asked when can we go back? We hadn't even left yet !!! All in all, its pretty hard to fault giving the accommodation's cleanliness and locationGuest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

stayed at the pub for my wifes birthday, chose a superior room with a garden view. The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are of an exceptionally high standard in terms of tiling and fitments and toiletries. The pub has 9 rooms and was completely refurbished about 8 years ago I think. The food was again of the highest standard, with a good menu and choice. Extremely friendly staff, nothing too much trouble and all a credit to the pub.Guest review bythomasUnited Kingdom - 10.0

This is not in the village of Arkholme, its 2.5 miles away in a very rural spot with views over the countryside. If you use the postcode for your sat nav it will direct you to the pub without a problem.Guest review byROBERTUnited Kingdom
