This was one of the most beautiful places on our round trip through Scotland. We were there for two days and were overwhelmed by Dalrachney Lodge. It is an old, very beautiful and well-kept building that is very tastefully and stylishly furnished. The rooms and especially the bathrooms are very nicely furnished. Tracy and Steve are very nice, helpful and warm hosts with whom you can have good conversations. The breakfast is wonderful. You can have a wonderful time here.

Lovely staff very helpful, friendly and attentive. Great location to travel around and to restaurants and shops. Very cosy, modern and original pod with all amenities you need including complimentary coffee etc. Good tv channels too. They clearly take pride in their accomodation and the service they offer. The combo shower/toilet took a little getting used to (constant wet floor when needed the loo), but tis glamping after all I suppose. Was a little tight at times but they have put effort into storage and amenities in every nook and cranny, even for your luggage which we had trouble with at other pods elsewhere. Would definitely recommend. The Bothy was very cool too! Thank you Ken & wife! (Sorry cannot remember your name :( ) x

We stayed for 3 nights - 4 adults and 3 young kids and we had a wonderfull vacation. The place is amazing. The house was big, clean and had everything you need for a long stay - big livingroom, long big table, full kithcen with dishwasher, 2 bathrooms and showers, washing maching and also a sauna and a balcony. The 3 bedrooms were big and comfortable. The place has free pool, gym and souna which is great, especially when you are with kids. Also great fields and grass for the kids to play. Wifi was good and ofcourse free parking. Location is also great near Avimor, easy base to travel around.

Excellent site. The pod was perfect with a fridge, kettle and microwave. Site was immaculate. The toilet block and shower rooms were very well kept. There are loads of activities on and off site for families or individuals do do. We were sorry that we were only staying one night. This site is so good that a longer stay is warranted to see and do everything.

Aviemore has a great buzz about it – a proper gateway to the Cairngorms with a strong tourist vibe that makes it feel lively year-round. The high street is packed with outdoor shops, from big names like Ellis Brigham and Tiso to smaller independents, so whether you’re after hiking boots, ski gear or a new waterproof, you’re well catered for. There’s also a good mix of cafés, pubs and restaurants, which keeps the place welcoming after a day outdoors. It’s the kind of town where you instantly feel in “holiday mode,” with a steady flow of visitors giving it energy without losing its Highland charm.

Very disappointing stay. Staff were rude and unhelpful - especially at breakfast. Dining staff Bella’s behaviour was shockingly unprofessional and not acceptable. Dirty, smelly rooms, one with a broken bed. Complaints were brushed off with a simple “sorry.” We booked 4 rooms for family visiting from Canada and deeply regret choosing this hotel. Definitely not worth the 4-star rating.

Nestled amongst the mountains with paths and tracks leading all over what’s not to like? Sadly, the general facilities here have gone. No shop for example. One place did have a sign out for coffee, but there could be an opportunity here for someone. Worth climbing up the Cateran Trail heading south to get stunning views looking down on the village. Also visit the stone circle, old bridge and the church. Just soak up the atmosphere!
