FAQs about hotels in Cornwall
The Stuff of Legends
Inhabited since prehistory, Cornwall is characterised by a series by rocky bays, fishing villages and spectacular coastline. Right at England’s western tip is Land’s End where sheer cliffs descend into the Atlantic Ocean. Along the coast is popular St Ives, home to many Cornwall hotels by the sea on Booking.com.
Another fantastic beach resort is Penzance, while across the bay is St Michael’s Mount (not to be confused with similar Mont St-Michel in Normandy). Also boasting a wonderful beach is Newquay, though it is best known for its excellent surfing conditions.
Further north is Tintagel, the stuff of legends due to its association with King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. The remains of Tintagel Castle are perched dramatically on a rocky promontory, while inland on Bodmin Moor granite tors and stone monoliths only add to Cornwall’s feeling of mystery.
Heading north towards Bude the Cornwall beaches become longer, while on the southern coast Looe is a picturesque town curving around an inlet. To the east near St Austell is the Eden Project, huge domes housing thousands of plants from all over the world.
The county town of Cornwall is Truro, home to an impressive cathedral overlooking the River Fal which flows down to Falmouth Bay, a great spot to try some local Cornish ice cream.

- From US$222.96 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,880 reviewsWe had an amazing stay at Camelot Castle Hotel! We got an upgrade to a room with sea view, which made it even better. The location of the hotel is perfectly situated near the cliffs, which grants an incredible view, also the coastal path is right next to the hotel. We enjoyed it during breakfast and our afternoon tea at the bar. The drawing room, bar and dining room are kept in a beautiful antique style, we loved it. The room was small but beautiful and cosy, ghe bathroom was totally new and equipped with a big bathtub, which was great. Breakfast and cakes were good too.Guest review byMAustria

great place for taking a few days by the beach and trying out the activities, I highly recommend going to Newquay Activity for that, Rob and his team are excellent. Town is okay but few empty units, which I hope will be filled soon with retail shops as I feel there isn't enough.Guest review byLucyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The beaches were huge, pristine, almost white sand and with great facilities but we particularly loved the amazing Tate gallery and Barbara Hepworth house. We also found that every local person that we met, both in the galleries, shops, restaurants, bars and the wonderful jazz club (The Western Hotel) were extremely friendly, helpful, talented and knowledgeable.Guest review byJaniceUnited Kingdom - 10.0

a very interesting town with a long promenade by the sea , wonderful gardens , small and interesting gallery-museum several worth to see surroundings in one day visits, nice food and pubs. The beaches were easy to reach but the water was dirty. Few hotels, very helpful staff, easy to get around by foot and by train and buses.Guest review byLORA GKIZAGreece - 10.0

St Austell is a run down and neglected town hard to navigate and not much to see. Charlestown is a delightful harbor with a good choice of restaurants and bars a bit of a shame that the harbor is being worked on but it has to be done. Then further south you have Pentewan a beautiful beach within a holiday complex lots of activities for the little ones and a good beach cafe.Guest review byDebbieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I love the sea pool at Bude, it's the main attraction for me. It's a beautiful location and even has hooks to hang your things! My partner likes the beautiful scenery and the shops. There is a great bakery that does gluten free cream teas that we always like to visit.Guest review byMeroweUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Apart from the cathedral there was not much else . We had based ourselves in Truro to visit Tresillik National Trust which in spite of being in great location was rather dissappointing having visited Lanhydrock earlier in the day which was superb. The house in Tressilick was very limited and appeared to be mainly used in lieu of the more usual excellent NT restaurant.Guest review byRogerUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Busy Cornish harbour town with plenty of gift shops , takeaways , cafes and restaurants . We ate Fish & Chips at Catch , which we gave 10/10z. We had takeaway from the Peking garden . We all enjoyed our dinner at Suggkers Cott . We finished our week at the Sardine factory which was good . There are lovely beach cafes at Millandreath & Talland bay !Guest review byAmandaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Tintagel is wonderful, and it’s very easy to get around, even when travelling to nearby places such as Boscastle. I visited the Old Post Office, an amazing building that is absolutely worth seeing. And, of course, Tintagel Castle! The walk there is spectacular, and the views from the castle are breathtaking. The castle itself is fantastic, with an incredible atmosphere.Guest review byDeboraUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Padstow is a busy tourist location, early morning is the best time to pop out for breakfast/coffee before the crowds arrive although most places do not open until 10.00 am. The surrounding area has so much more to offer, coastal walks / bicycle rides / paddle boarding and surfing.Guest review byNicolaUnited Kingdom
