FAQs about hotels in England
The Small Country with Big Appeal
For a relatively small country, England certainly manages to pack in a wealth of tourist attractions, from Land’s End all the way to Berwick-upon-Tweed.
Words can’t do justice to the capital London - an exciting mix of famous sights, royalty and vibrant life. Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham are fabulous cities that have emerged from their industrial past to be cutting-edge centres of culture.
Newcastle, Leeds and Bristol are well known for their buzzy music scene, while sedate Oxford and Cambridge are famous for their universities and punting. Stately York still maintains its city walls and Windsor has the wonderful castle where the Queen often resides.
Sheffield and Derby border the magnificent Peak District, while the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are close to Blackpool, one of England’s favourite beach destinations. Other very popular beaches are in Brighton, Eastbourne, Torquay and Scarborough.
With a beautifully rugged coastline, mystical Cornwall has England hotels in the country, as do the Cotswolds where stone houses line picturesque villages. The Georgian spa cities of Bath and Harrogate also have impressive stone architecture.
This is just the tip of the iceberg of what England has to offer, but wherever you visit, you can be sure that Booking.com has a fantastic range of apartments, B&Bs and hotels in England to choose from.

London is huge and has endless possibilities of joy and adventures for those who sick for them. It has the best food can offer, great live shows, a lot of art and culture presentations in and out, excellent transportation, great parks, and variety of districts with different vibes.Guest review bySpeedyIsrael - 8.0
It's easy to get about, the streets are cleaner than London!
It's easy to get about, the streets are cleaner than London! Always very busy, but simple to drive into and good the ULEZ scheme is not implemented at present which would dissuade me visiting. There's a lot to do, theatres, places to eat, museums, and shopping for those that like that sort of thing.Guest review byJon C-SUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We could kick ourselves for waiting so long to visit Liverpool! Everything about it was fantastic = the warmth of the welcome and the helpful, lovely people. All the tours we did were truly excellent, namely the Magical Mystery Tour, The Beatles Story and the Mersey Cruise. We felt that tributes to famous ex-residents were all tastefully done. There is such a choice of good eating places and bars. And we were amazed by the gorgeous parks and elegant Georgian areas. Very cross we did not allow longer than two nights so now will happily return to cover off all the places we didn't manage to visit. Stayed at the Titanic which we loved and used Uber. Interesting that everyone we told about our visit ALL agreed that they really liked Liverpool.Guest review byCrispinOxUnited Kingdom - 8.0

York is very compact so it is perfectly feasable to see all the sights on foot and much of the city is traffic free. A bit dissapoint that a large section of the wall walk was closed for renovation. Too many pubs and eating places just sold a variety of burgers or cheesy chips. The Yorvik Centre, York Museum and Castle Museum are well worth visiting. The Railway museum really needs a good, half day to get around all of the items on display. Pre -booking is probably a good move to avoid the ticket queues and some venues allocate timed entry. We took one of the trips along the river which was a pleasant, relaxing hour. All in all, a pleasant 4 day break.Guest review byKevinUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lots to do with older children.
Lots to do with older children. We the curious and wake the Tiger were well worth the trip down to Bristol. I would have liked to explore the Banksy graffiti. Saw loads of regular graffiti which did make the area seem scruffy. It was everywhere. Some amazing architecture. Little gems kept jumping out. Worth a visit, don’t let the scruffy areas stop you visiting. Those who enjoy shopping should visit Cribbs causewayyGuest review byBrendaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
