- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 90 reviewsGorgeous little cottage just on the outskirts of Campbeltown. Short drive to local shops, Mull of Kintyre and Machrihanish. Newly renovated with a well equipped kitchen, Wifi and comfortable furnishings. So peaceful and lovely to be able to go for walks around the property. Caretakers on-site if you need them for anything and their friendly dog Alfie loves to come out and greet visitors. We enjoyed our stay so much we’ve already booked our next stay here !Guest review byKirsteenAustralia
- From US$177.23 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 760 reviewsThe staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is incredible and the weather was beautiful. There was a fabulous choice on the breakfast menu and as a pescatarian, the dinner menu was vast. In fact, it was difficult to choose what to have. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept really well.Guest review bySallyUnited Kingdom

Kintyre is absolutely gorgeous - so beautiful, unspoilt, rugged and wonderful. Campbeltown used to be a little run-down but it was looking pretty good with lots of independent shops, two distilleries and a busy yacht harbour. Campbeltown is a good base if you need buses and amenities and for shopping in supermarkets.Guest review byJaneUnited Kingdom - 10.0

This was just an overnight stop on our way to Islay from Glasgow - we took an afternoon bus to Tarbert and got private transport to Kennakraig ferry terminal the morning after. The town was lovely, with a nice castle and a couple of good restaurants as well as a pub with plenty of whisky options. We might have even stayed a bit longer had we known it was such a lovely place.Guest review byManuel E.Poland - 10.0

Outstanding place very welcoming owners on hand but far away if required. Top quality place with nothing short almost perfect. I can’t fault it. Wine and fresh bread as gifts on arrival and a roaring fire. Best place I have been for the money. Lovely shower too!!Guest review byBriUnited Kingdom - 8.0

An amazing set up.
An amazing set up. A good sized, well equipped, spotless en-suite room with a separate communal lounge/kitchen. Breakfast is in the welcoming cafe next door, run by the owners of the accommodation. There's also a gift shop and small garden centre. On an evening we were welcome to relax in the large conservatory/glasshouse. The staff were the best team we've come across this year. We wished we were staying longer.Guest review bykarenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We loved the easy access to our room with 3 dogs and a massive walk in shower gave us that extra space. We loved the clean towels and also how special you made it for our dogs, extra doggie towels and blankets and chewies for all 3 :))) We loved tea and coffee, chocs and biscuits and shampoos etc We loved the restaurant options and easy access for the dogs plus being able to sit outside and enjoy beachfront views or inside sea views - awesome!! Extra special to take the dogs out for beach walks although sad about one of the Canadian geese, and too many dead seagulls on the shore but overall beautiful seaside adventure. We travelled down as far as Saddler and got to tour with best mate Jane. Enjoy the peace, quiet, clean natural lifestyle while you can and it becomes another tourist overcrowded beach.Guest review byTeniUnited Kingdom - 10.0

20 mins drive from Tarbert - Starfish Inn highly recommended to eat. Great seafood. Clachan is situated on the main road to Campbelltown ie 50 mins. Close to ferry links to Gigha & Islay. Clachan is quiet, small hamlet with Petrol station.Guest review byTimothyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Tarbert was a location I needed to visit for my book project. I had been here before. It is close to Saddell Abbey and Skipness Castle and the Tarbert Castle in town is worth the climb. Tarbert's history is also iinteresting.Guest review byPatUnited States - 10.0
