- From £75 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.0Good - What previous guests thought, 3,067 reviewsThe female member of staff who we dealt with was rude, unfriendly, and unprofessional. The checkout time was 10am but we had an aggressive knock on the door at 9.40am telling us to get out. There were no coffee and tea making facilities as advertised and the bathroom was shared between several rooms, again, not as advertised. The bed was large and comfortable but the stay itself could not have been further from enjoyable. We didn’t use the spa but for £4 for the day I think it’s a bargain. The staff were incredibly friendly also and when we asked for more coffee and shampoo they were more than happy to oblige.Guest review byKathrynCambodia

Not overly impressed with Leicester itself but plenty of cultural places to visit and the curve theatre is well worth a visit. Jewry Wall is very interesting as was Guildhall, cathedral and Richard III museum. My favourite was the National Gas Museum just on the outskirts of the city, it’s free but well worth a visitGuest review byChristinaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We were pleased with the friendly and helpful staff on duty, after a delayed flight. Our room was spotless and very well appointed, enabling us to relax after a tiring journey and enjoy a uninterrupted sleep in the comfy bed and not having any overhead plane noise at all because of the triple glazed windows.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 6.0

We had dinner at pizzeria inferno, it was really the highlight. Service was great and had some seafood linguini that I am still thinking about, a week on. The town itself is as unremarkable as any town in the midlands. The current politics' events had it also covered in Union Jacks and St. George's Crosses. If that's your thing, you are in for a treat. No wonder Frodo and Sam preferred to walk for months into Mordor, to get out of the shire.Guest review byRubenUnited Kingdom - 8.0

My favorite place was Saint Mary's Church (Attention: only open from 12 to 2!!) with the monument of Wycliffe, the painings and its very special atmosphere. The exposition in HIGH POINT is very interesting too because of Wycliffe. I made a nice walk along the river Swift where Wycliffes bones have been burnt about 600 years ago. When you stay at Grey Hound Inn (with its great history) eating doesn't need te be a problem. They have everything for reasonable prices.Guest review byDickNetherlands - 10.0
Pretty little market town.
Pretty little market town. More upmarket than I was expecting with high-end fashion shops. Museum was interesting and there are lots of places to eat - from Spoons to Thai, Turkish and Tapas! We drove out several days to the Crick Boat Show, Rockingham Castle and some of the civil war battlefields.Guest review byDUnited Kingdom - 8.0

This is a nice little market town with everyone making an effort to show it at its best. An easy walk from the hotel. A number of restaurants and pubs serving food. Check how long kitchens are open on Sunday.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable, good value for money. Nice place and friendly staff. However, the car park is full of pot holes and could cause a lot of damage to the car if you are unlucky enough to hit one!Guest review byJanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Picturesque, quiet and relaxing location for those who just need a pared-back and restful experience. This is a great place for lovely country drives, and accessible to other locations and cities if you need to get to them. The town is quiet and has amenities, shops, restaurants and whatever you may need during your stay. Friendly people make the experience much more pleasant and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend for a weekend getaway or a relaxing retreat.Guest review byDanielleUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Staff very friendly, room wonderful, food excellent but could ensure that we could be advised when food is out if stock instead of the poor waitress having to go backwards and forwards to find out what was available that evening!Guest review byCooke
