- From £141.75 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 2,050 reviewsStaff : Note that our cottage unit was located in a wider "caravan park". Reception service was available and useful. Smooth check in experience. Facilities : Inside, everything was complete and rather new. You will have all you need to enjoy your time there. For kids, there was also small play ground at the park. Hot water running great with good pressure. All top notch. Note that the cottage is located on a step-up hence you will need to take a wide stairs. In our view we were lucky since we got one of the "high" cottage with a wider view of the park. Cleanliness : Clean, and I recognised there was no shortcut taken when clean every inch of the house. Comfort : Bed and the caravan's atmosphere were comfortable and cosy. Value Money : We were travelling during autumn school holiday, and comparing other options around Snowdon, this is considered reasonable. Location : Inside the park and its surrounding - quiet and peaceful. Within Snowdown area, although most things are at least 20-30min away (normal for such a big nature park and area). Hence you must need a car on your own. Others: We are family of 4. Internet was very fast (OK for streaming). We were there exploring Snowdon and its surrounding. Plenty parking spaces. The cottage was 2 storey, hence if you have very small kids, it might not be suitable. Our kids were 4 and 6, they were fine with the steep and small stairs leading to the small 2nd floor.Guest review byS. JasniNetherlands
- From £115 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,074 reviewsWe'd eaten in the restaurant here three or our times previously (and the food here is outstanding, by the way), but had never stayed over. Very comfortable room and in a quiet location, even though it's a stone's throw from the main road that runs through Porthmadog., Check-in was simple and breakfast requirements were submitted in a form we left downstairs. Dietary needs (dairy and gluten intolerances) were taken care of with no fuss. On departure, we found that a rogue firework had shattered the rear screen of our car. The staff could not have been more sympathetic or helpful to our plight and helped in taping some black binbags to cover the rear of the car. I'd have no qualms whatsoever about staying there again.Guest review byPhilUnited Kingdom
- From £107.88 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,369 reviewsAppreciated the effort and care all staff took to make sure our stay was welcoming, comfortable, and suitable for a young family of 5, who also have food allergies. The free upgrade upon arrival to their suite with a whirlpool bath was completely unexpected and the kids enjoyed their bath night very much! After a long day of travelling, the staff were more than happy to offer a hand wherever possible from carrying our bags in, finding us a charging point and car park, and making sure their menu and kitchen were prepared for us to order allergy (and child) friendly food! A big thank you again!Guest review byHazelNew Zealand
- From £185 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 224 reviewsGreat hotel in a very scenic location and thankfully an easy walk from the station as the weather was miserable. The friendly staff both on reception and in the restaurant were outstanding. My room was comfortable and was fine for one night. As you would expect the single room was small but I ended up with a view of the beach and castle which was lovely.Guest review byChristineAustralia
- From £294 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,416 reviewsThe room at the Castell was superb, very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was beautifully cooked when we eventually got it. We could say, we’ll worth the wait! The evening meal was very good too. And of course a splendid location. Invaluable navette service into the village for residents.Guest review byMarie-ClaudeFrance

I loved exploring the interesting and quirky areas of the village and investigating its history. A very thought provoking place to visit! The accommodation added to this and so did the kindness of all of the staff, who were very helpful as I had never visited Portmerion before.Guest review byLauraUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Criccieth is a beautiful town, smaller and quieter than the other towns on the coast, but the views around the bay are unequaled. The surrounding countryside is the Lynn peninsula at it's best, very untouched and beautiful.Guest review bydavidUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Lots of fascinating Welsh history to explore.
Lots of fascinating Welsh history to explore. Highlights included trips to Porthdinllaen, Harlech, and Aberdaron. Special offer from CADW meant that we got two admissions for the price of one by travelling by train from Pwllheli and showing our train tickets when we bought our castle visit tickets.Guest review byColinUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Nefyn is a quite seaside town on the Llyn penninsula.
Nefyn is a quite seaside town on the Llyn penninsula. If you are looking for a quiet place to spend a weekend or a week relaxing, lazing on the beach when the weather permits, taking in the beautiful views, walking or hiking around the surrounding hilly countryside, then Nefyn may well be the place for you. There are golf links at nearby Morfa Nefyn. If you are looking for 5-star hotels, sophisticated nightlife or shopping, then Nefyn is not the place for you! The public bus service is limited, and so a car will be useful if you want to explore the tourist sites in the surrounding areas.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

We travelled by train from Machyllneth to Pwllheli, then caught a bus to Ederyn. Both journeys were beautiful and inexpensive. The walks around the area are beautiful, with open countryside, distant peaks and sea views. It was not crowded, even in August.Guest review byGranny GUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I loved the setting - peaceful, quiet and atmospheric. Completely self-catered which suited my personal needs. Directions were clear and and helpful. Proximity to the coast path was a bonus - good base for accessing other areas - off the beaten track but not too inaccessible.Guest review byDeborahUnited Kingdom - 10.0
