The bird life was glorious even in the winter weather. This is like a little sanctuary and I would urge you to stay as long as you could! The bedroom is spacious and bed was amazing. Hosts allowed us to check in early to wait out the storm which actually didn’t really happen😜Guest review byGregoryAustralia

We met the new owner who had taken over the business the day before we stayed and he was so lovely and welcoming (thank you for our complimentary honeymoon champagne) Also the best bed we have slept in on our NC500 route so far!Guest review byRosieUnited Kingdom

Lovely wee place with plenty of cafes, bars & restaurants.
Lovely wee place with plenty of cafes, bars & restaurants. It was our Anniversary while we were there and we had a lovely meal at the Seaforth Restaurant, food excellent and staff very friendly. We visited Achmelvich beach which was beautiful, gorgeous blue water and not too busy, we were lucky with the weather as sun was out. It was great to sit outside the Ferry Boat Inn with a wee drink over looking the loch seeing the boats and cruise liners coming & going.Guest review byDONNAUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Our stay at Inverlael Bothy Cottage was truly amazing.
Our stay at Inverlael Bothy Cottage was truly amazing. The Bothy Cottage has been beautifully restored and is full of Olde World charm and character: - exposed beams, mezzanine and original stonework. The views of the surrounding mountains and loch are spectacular, from the adjoining conservatory, along with the host's herd of cows and hens. The host's hospitality and friendly warmth are second to none. Fresh eggs were provided and we were made to feel very welcome. If you are looking for a loving, caring holiday home, with an exceptional host and hospitality Inverlael Farmhouse and Bothy Cottage should be your number 1 choice.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The cottage was perfect in every way. The design and craftsmanship of it were top notch, it was exceptionally clean, and the special touches were well appreciated. All that in addition to a fantastic location.Guest review byDarrinUnited States - 10.0

Ullapool is a quiet place and a good base for exploring the area. It can get crowded, especially because large ships stop there and let off passengers for day trips. But we never had the impression that the town was over-full. We didn't do them, but you can arrange boat trips at the harbour. There are a few options for eating, if you want to eat in one of the nicer restaurants then you should reserve, since they get full quickly. There are other options though, a few fish&chips take-aways, a pizza place, etc., and there are picknick tables at the harbour where you can eat your take-away. A few nice shops to browse through.Guest review byBrianAustria - 8.0

The location was good for travelling to different places and plenty parking onsite. The down side was the view of the water was obscured by the overgrown bushes and wasn’t expecting to strip the bed on departure.Guest review byNicolaUnited Kingdom - 4.0

The location of the property was perfect for our stay with comfy beds that allowed for a good night's sleep. The cleanliness of this property let it down - especially the bathroom. Hairs, dirt and dead insects on floor. Very old shower may folded on shelf in cupboard under sink covered in cobwebs, mould and dirt. Old tube of Blisteeze also on shelf. Razor cover at side of sink. Bath and toilet mat dirty. Clothing labels on shelf in main bedroom. Bed side lights and sockets in twin room didn't work - one didn't even have a bulb. One bedside light in main room didn't work. Kitchen floor was very sticky and had a strong smell of wet dog. Draining rack at side of sink very sticky and unclean. Strong smell from sink. Dirty cleaning cloths in basin. Stairs weren't hoovered. Windows dirty. Blind in living room didn't close nor did curtains at foot of stairs. Whilst the owner stayed next door we didn't see her to pass on our concerns of cleanliness especially given the current situation with Covid.Guest review byDawnUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Ullapool is just the most scenic, beautiful, place.
Ullapool is just the most scenic, beautiful, place. It's hard to believe you're by the sea and not a large lake, but then you open your curtains in the morning to see a cruise ship coming in, dolphins playing in the bay, it's just a real life postcard. A must!Guest review byKarlUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We stayed here because of the proximity to many great hikes in the area, which are many. It was wonderfully located. Ullapool is close by for services, food, drink, and the ferry. We saw deer grazing in the morning outside our window and birds were plentiful near the feeder. Such a calm and relaxing spot!Guest review bySusan
