- From £103.55 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 6.6Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 448 reviewsAhhh, everything was just perfect for our weekend away! Great location, free car park, helpful staff, delicious dinner, nice views from the hot tub (included in our room price) and the bedroom window, full Scottish breakfast, really made our stay perfect! When we just arrived we found it difficult to get to the shower as the corner with the shower door was very narrow. We asked staff at the reception for a wee help and the very nice girl changed rooms with no time. We received much bigger with a big bath in the bedroom room and were very pleased with the upgrade. 👍 Advice for your dinner,to choose the mussel dish with white wine sauce ,oh,that was incredible! ❤️ Never tasted better sauce in all my life!!! I will definitely come back here 😉Guest review byZivi24United Kingdom
- From £155 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 760 reviewsThe staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is incredible and the weather was beautiful. There was a fabulous choice on the breakfast menu and as a pescatarian, the dinner menu was vast. In fact, it was difficult to choose what to have. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept really well.Guest review bySallyUnited Kingdom

Mark and Aby were the best hosts you can image and much fun to talk to. My breakfast went then far over an hour but was worth it and beside the lovely conversation was it also very, very tasty. The views from Inverary are exceptional.
The views from Inverary are exceptional. The residents of the town are very friendly If you want to unwind, slow down your pace of life, find real peace and relaxation then Inverary would be an excellent choice to visit. We ate an evening meal from the local fish and chip restuarant and sat looking down the loch enjoying it. Walking around Inverary is easy . It has wide pavements and the town is flat with no steep gradients.Guest review byJamesUnited Kingdom - 10.0

This was just an overnight stop on our way to Islay from Glasgow - we took an afternoon bus to Tarbert and got private transport to Kennakraig ferry terminal the morning after. The town was lovely, with a nice castle and a couple of good restaurants as well as a pub with plenty of whisky options. We might have even stayed a bit longer had we known it was such a lovely place.Guest review byManuel E.Poland - 6.0

Fantastic property, quiet, great Bar and conversations, fantastic reading Room and outdoor Patio , all with manicured gardens and brilliant views. some of the trees on the property were at least 400-500 years old. It was a joy to stay at this hotel. Located near the town and ferry docks for access to the islands for wee bit of whiskey tasting drives.Guest review byMahendraCanada - 10.0

Main place I visited was Benmore Botanical Gardens - lots to explore and the rhododendrons and azaleas in May are spectacular. No cafe now sadly but a short trip away in Blairmore there is a cafe run by the lady who used to run the cafe at Benmore - didn't manage to visit it this time but was recommended to me. I stayed at the Creggans Inn and mainly ate there - excellent place to stay or visit for a meal - food was superb and a good base for exploring the area. Roads well maintained and easy to get round - visited Inverary Castle on the other side of the loch. Again superb gardens and the castle itself is stunning well worth visiting. The town itself also very picturesque. On the way to Inverary there is the Loch Fyne Restaurant and Tree shop garden centre and cafe - well worth a visit and picked up some beautiful rhododendrons at the tree shop. Nearby there is also a local farm brewery Fyne Ales - it has a shop and taproom where you can sample their ales and buy them or have a coffee and cake ! The weather was a bit patchy - usually it is fine in May but nonetheless a superb place to visit.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The hotel is very comfortable with a beautiful garden and views of the Loch. There is a seating area in front of the hotel and a lovely bar with friendly staff. The food is Indian and very nice. There are beautiful walks and ancient trees and plants just 2 Minutes from the Hotel, you could spent days with exploring. A Castle near by organises classical music Concerts and Castle Tours. The gardens are magical and worth a visit.Guest review byGeorgUnited Kingdom - 2.0

It was awful in every way, from the weed strewn car park to the flies around the dining room windows to the walls/carpets marked and stained. The food was trully the worst ive ever tried in 40 years travelling. The staff were in the main young and highly inexperienced. The hotel is refusing to refund me for the night i didnt stay and booking.com are just as bad. This hotel wAs not as described-avoid at all costsGuest review bysarahUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It was just lovely.
It was just lovely. The house was beautiful and well decorated and had lovely old architectural features. The bedroom was very nice and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was so good!! Lots of food and all delicious. Can’t say enough good things about Avril and Sue. Great ladies with a heart for hospitality. We especially appreciated our afternoon tea after arriving.Guest review byNancyUnited States - 10.0

Had a short break, for a birthday, squeezed into a busy couple of weeks, would have liked to stay a bit longer. Weather wasn't great, we would have done more beach stuff if it had been, however, the spa facilities were great and we are thinking of visiting for days out, or even an overnight stay, we live fairly nearby on Kintyre. We were able to drive out to explore the area more than previously when "just passing through" Cowal. However, one should bear in mind that all the single track roads make this quite tiring as you get older!Guest review byLindaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Inveraray Jail, was amazing to see what jail life was like n the 1600s Very first item we saw was a man who stole 2 horses, and a cheese he was hung for his crime, couldn't stop thinking about it all day.. Really need to see it for yourself to understand how bad life was back then. Inveraray Castle was beautiful and so interesting, had a lovely tea outside before looking round the gardens and walking through the grounds. Inveraray Bell Tower is fantastic too once you climb the 176 steps, you can see amazing views..Guest review byjanejackcarUnited Kingdom
