What a wonderful surprise. Front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming and assisted with info on what there is to do in the area. Very cosy and welcoming lounge area with a very warm fire was fantastic. The room is very comfortable and the bathroom is really spacious. Nothing to do with the location ..but..the bus from Buchanan bus station dropped us off on the outskirts of Balloch on a very busy duel carriageway..which took ages to cross safely..why don't they terminate in Balloch's own bus station...much safer as we had to walk 15 mins to get to our accomodation in rough tarain... I'd hate to think of elderly people having to endure this ... shocked to be honest...nothing to do will The Tillie Inn..maybe something should be changed to prevent this.as it has put me off getting the bus...

Amazing part of the country with wonderful scenery. Most staff are extremely pleasant and friendly, but not all. Arrochar is a bit of a one horse town, although it's a great base for touring some amazing parts of the country. It's a very relaxing village with a lovely walk along the lochside.

The views from Inverary are exceptional.

The views from Inverary are exceptional. The residents of the town are very friendly If you want to unwind, slow down your pace of life, find real peace and relaxation then Inverary would be an excellent choice to visit. We ate an evening meal from the local fish and chip restuarant and sat looking down the loch enjoying it. Walking around Inverary is easy . It has wide pavements and the town is flat with no steep gradients.

Luss is a quaint little town with not many facilities but a useful local store. We were there for the Highland Games which were a fabulous life experience. The loch is gorgeous and the surrounding mountains are stunning.

    Lodge was fantastic.

Lodge was fantastic. Staff were very welcoming and nothing was an issue. It was nice and peaceful. I'd have stayed a lot longer if I could. Everything you need is literally on the doorstep. Staff at the village shop were lovely and even took our photo as we just got married the day we arrived. Chris was very welcoming anytime we needed anything from the wee shop.

I loved everything about The Bield. Aberfoyle is a beautiful area. We had food at The fairies Tree which was lovely. The house was perfect. A great place to stay. There were 13 of us with plenty of room inside. Would definately recommend. The owner was only a phone call away if needed.

Greenock is fine but dreadful bus station. I was robbed by a very incompetent laptop repair shop hotspot in town centre 20 GBP for 5 mins work and job not done. The lady in charge of the waterfront took my laptop personally and got it fixed. Great service.

We expected it to be nice but when we arrived we were simply blown away by the lodge and the peaceful park it is based in. The lodge was spacious and clean and had everything a family needed for a relaxing break. The bedrooms were great and the shower and bath facility was also top class. The WiFi was as good as anywhere I've ever stayed and the park with private beach was truly spectacular. We couldn't recommend this place more if we tried and will be coming back every year as the owner was very helpful and friendly as well.

There's not much in Tarbet, apart from the Hotel and a good restaurant, but its convenient for the Loch, and its on a junction of the main roads, so there's good access to other parts. There is a bus stop that the long distance bus services stop at. Loch boat trips depart from the pier. The Tarbet Hotel is a great place to stay. The Kirk 'o the Lochs is a good place to eat.
