- From £98.70 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 4,773 reviewsThis Posh Pads place was PERFECT. The staff at the refection desk could NOT have been more helpful AND they are available 24/7. The rooms were clean and GORGEOUS and decorated very well. Spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with kitchenware and teabags/coffee and milk etc., The beds were very comfortable. The rooms did get warm but the reception staff brought up fans for us to help circulate the air and try to cool it down. This place isn't too far from anywhere - a lovely 15 minute slow walk to the cathedral, and plenty of local bars and restaurants too. The reception called us taxis whenever we needed to grab one although it's only a 10 minute walk from the train station. I'd HIGHLY recommend this lace if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Liverpool.Guest review byAndreaUnited States

A really interesting city, with a variety of areas, all of very different character. Have never met such lovely or friendly people in my life - and I travel a lot! Nothing is too much trouble for anyone, from bus drivers, to bar staff, to people on the street. Transport is super easy and fairly cheap.Guest review byJacquelineUnited States - 10.0

Southport has some of the most fantastic Victorian buildings of anywhere I've been in England. Anyone interested in architecture, it's a must. As with all these places some parts are a bit tired, but you can imagine what it once would have been. There's some nice Bars up the top end of Lord Street, which is the main broad Avenue, with an exceptional Korean restaurant, The Korean Kitchen - absolutely fantastic. I had a great few days in Southport and the surrounding coast is fantastic with abundant sand dunes and pine forest.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 2.0

After arriving at the haydock, we were charged £20 for geting in our room at 2pm instead of 3pm, the minute we opened room door, we were greeted with a stale fosty smell, we immediately tryed to open window, only to reliese it was nailed down, & was covered in cobwebs, i asked reception if they could open the window as there was no air in room, only to be told it was broken, going by cobwebs its been broken a while, still cant believe they didnt clean cobwebs away, i then asked for room change, we got told it wouldnt be to next day, i couldnt sleep in the room the 1st night i slept in car as couldnt breath in the room, the 2nd day we told them were leaving as the room was a disgrace, no working iron, or hairdryer, the bathroom was filthy, the rooms just not been used prior to my visit, but to not clean the room at all is a disgrace, we left a nite early as it wasntb sleepable, didnt think to take pictures as we were sweating buckets and couldnt wait to lleave, £203 for 2 nights and slept in car 1st night, and left the next morning, disgustingGuest review byHelen - 8.0

We stayed at Knowsley as it was much more cost effective than 2 nights in similar accommodation in Liverpool. We were down for the Everton Man City game. Unfortunately neither of us drive and as buses don't Service the hotel at the weekend meant we had to rely on taxis. For anyone who drives the location is not a problem though. Visited a few of the local hostelries. Copperpot, Derby Arms and Vikings Landing all were very friendly places with good service. Prices for drinks are favourable compared to other cities.Guest review byBryanUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Heswall is a friendly little town, with a good selection of small shops and eateries. Please do visit the book shop! From the outside it looks like any other shop, but step inside and you will be bowled over with what's on offer, which even includes a cafe. Heswall offers easy access to other destinations on The Wirrall, including the delightful West Kirby. It is a great spot to explore places further afield, such as North Wales, Chester and Liverpool.Guest review byJaneUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Very clean . Beautiful surroundings. Comfortable.
Very clean . Beautiful surroundings. Comfortable. Not very warm especially dining room had to eat evening meal with coats on . Evening bar staff refused us a cup of coffee having already had one and then sent another person to their room to make one in their room and bring it back to their company sitting in the bar . And they were elderly. So not very good . Bar could of stayed open a little longer .... admittedly it was about 10.30pm but when you have been out and you need a nightcap in hotel even if just a cuppa not good .Guest review byMichelle - 4.0

Prescot is amazing if you are going for the new playhouse experience, otherwise it does not have a lot to recommend it....we had an ok meal at Pinion, service very slow, and the meals were not quite right as ordered...it's about half an hour by train from Liverpool....Guest review byJudithUnited Kingdom
