Lovely site plenty of stuff to do. If you have diffculty walking ask for a room near reception as corridors are long. Rooms overlooking golf course lovely view. Free alarm clock with the geese haha. Food is excellent good portions and friendly helpful staff. Just need some upgrades and it would be perfect would definately stay again just please get the floors sorted as very annoying squeaking everywhere

The ducks at the lake are magical! I would advise to stay if you are planning on discovering Cornwall for the first time! Great time to getaway! Kay was a lovely host, and pleasant. Helpful with suggestions and a calm demeanor, would recommend a visit!Make sure to visit the seaside and catch some sea air

A quaint , truly Cornish cottage. Quirky, and rustic.

Be prepared for a hilly climb up to main road if ,like me, you are a pedestrian.
Glorious walk up though, spring primroses and snowbells all in bloom
Quiet, a real get away

On the whole I like to spend a week or two exploring an area but due to circumstances we only had 2 days.
You could walk miles, ride the railway to see stunning scenery, Hire a boat, do some fishing or even visit the local history.
Buckfast abbey is a quick trip, Morewhellam quay and so many more.

A lovely apartment, more spacious than expected from the photo's. About 40 mins drive to Seaham beach which is dog friendly but gets busy. Same kind of distance to Looe where we bought extremely fresh fish from Pengelly's at the harbour. about 30 mins drive to the Minions on Bodmin Moor where we walked to see the stone circles and had a lovely fish and chip lunch at The crow's nest pub which is dog friendly. The narrow lanes around the village aren't for the faint hearted - my wife didn't like them but I had no problems! Didn't get to try the pub which is in the next road along so will have to return if only for this reason! We would definitely recommend this apartment - it is peaceful and the owners are lovely.

The cottage was everything we wanted.
The cottage was everything we wanted. Close to family and big enough for them to visit. There was space to park 2 cars and the garden and views were gorgeous. Very friendly host.
We visited Cotehele a National Trust property not far away.
Not a huge problem but the lane to the property was very challenging at night. Not something the host could do anything about.
If we had been staying for longer than the weekend I would have liked to have had a freezer.
On the whole a great weekend.

It is a small place but an excellent centre for exploring Cornwall and Plymouth.
We were impressed by how friendly the locals were. We laughed a lot and chatted to everyone we met including the post person, a local builder, staff in the two pubs in which we ate and shop assistants. We had some entertaining conversations.
The local Tesco is excellent in Callington and there is also a B and M store I believe.
