- From £170 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 166 reviewsOur room was huge, with a very comfortable bed, stunning views, and a nice big bathroom. The grounds are exquisite, and the forest walk was lovely. We loved everything about our stay. The best part about staying at Crathorne Hall though is the magical staff. Martin and Gloria made us feel like family, and their personal attention was the difference that made the difference. THANK YOU!Guest review byJenny WensingNetherlands

The breakfast was delicious. I liked the gym and you get a towel. I was surprised how quiet it was. No noise at all from the next room. I had read some reviews of this place wasn't so good but I'm a simple lad from a small town in Australia and this inn was luxurious for me.Guest review byMark AustraliaAustralia

The centre offers a wide selection of restaurants; most look great. However I can't recommend visiting Middlesbrough; it's severely deprived with drug users lying on the street, metal panels on all business properties (there was one that didn't have that and all the windows were smashed). I didn't feel safe with muggers cycling around looking for their next victim. I will not return here.Guest review byDannyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
We love Darlington.
We love Darlington. There is much to see around - particularly for railway enthusiasts. The valley of the River Tees is beautiful and offers good walks. But note: the picture you show, which is the River Tees, is about 20 miles from Darlington.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 8.0

If you like a drinks bargain in a welcoming friendly pub visit the Pig and Whistle, don't be put off by the looks. They couldn't be more friendly if they tried. They don't serve food or have live music but have a great Juke box and snacks.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom - 4.0

If it hadn’t been for a family wedding, I would not have chosen to visit Hartlepool. The town felt very run down, with many shops closed and little to do. It came across as a sad and struggling area. Unfortunately, we also experienced a couple of racial incidents, which made us feel uncomfortable. If you are a person of colour, this may not feel like a welcoming or friendly place to visit.Guest review bySultanaUnited Kingdom - 6.0

The town is not too busy although a bit run down especially near the accommodation. The traffic was not bad at all times for a central area. Did not visit much of the main town area except nearby seaside resorts.Guest review byJoashUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Absolutely beautiful location.
Absolutely beautiful location. Lots of little trinket shops, some nice pubs and a train station right into the Saltburn town. Would recommend it for a holiday. A visit to The Ship pub was nice, right on the seafront. Nice Fish and Chip Shop in the town also.Guest review byMaryUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Guisborough is a nice place, its a busy market town close to the east coast. Lovely area for a visit, lots of shops and things in the area. If staying in the area, it can be noisy at night with traffic, so stay on outskirts if traffic noise bothers you.Guest review byKayUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Yarm is a beautiful town and really hasn’t changed much since our last visit nearly 50 years ago. Having grown up in Eaglescliffe we wanted to take a trip down memory lane. Even our trip to Strickland and Holt on the High Street didn’t disappoint!Guest review bySaraUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Staithes is well worth the visit - whether you are a weary traveller, a Captain Cook history buff, or a keen Cleveland Way walker you will enjoy this village. The harbour is interesting. I like the Royal George Hotel more than the other hotels in the village. Nearby towns are Whitby and Saltburn-by-the-Sea - both have heaps to offer.Guest review byPaulAustralia - 8.0
