- From £247.50 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 508 reviewsOur lake view room was large, and very comfortable. Fabulous scenery, just sit and enjoy the entire vista. A big bathroom with both bath and shower, and a magnified mirror....(I love that for putting on the makeup!) The breakfast was absolutely delicious, 100% to the breakfast chef and staff, all the staff were friendly and courteous and welcoming. We had dinner in the restaurant, again it was really lovely, and the waiter was very helpful in recommending a wine to compliment our main course. Will definitely stay here on our next visit to the beautiful Lake District.Guest review byRoseIreland
- From £256.50 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,232 reviewsWe loved the rustic romantic room, with large balcony and fireplace. The view of the lake was amazing, the sounds of the stream and the majestic gardens was something out of a movie The spa was so fun, and the soak in the heated pool at sunset was perfectly romantic. Top tip set your alarm an hour before sunrise, get your self up and be in wonder of the perfect night sky. You might just be lucky enough to see a shooting star or 10! 5mims walk to the right and you can start one of the most idelic walks ever.Guest review bysienadeThailand

Grasmere is one of the prettiest villages in The Lake District and is an idyllic place if you are lucky with the weather. There are interesting tourist attractions nearby as well as excellent mountain walking options. The resort benefits from a very good bus service, which gives additional options in nearby places so you can get out and about without using a car. Travel to Grasmere by train and bus is perfectly feasible so you do not need a car.Guest review byJulianUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We stayed 2 nights with our dog. We were going to go by train but there was a problem at one of the lines and had to use the bus, so we decided to drive. St Bees is lovely for a walk and the beach. The weather can change suddenly but heat will remain. It is accessible to other areas by train or car. We went through to Whitehaven for a few hours which was lovelyGuest review bySueUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We had no idea how breathtakingly beautiful it was going to be in person. We really enjoyed the Lake District and would recommend it. Dress for every type of weather. We rented a car and were able to drive through the mountains, it was probably one of the most scenic drives I have ever done and I've done Colorado, Utah, Maine, AZ etc. It was spectacular. The roads are another story. It only adds to the charm of extreme sightseeing. :-)Guest review byEileenUnited States
